PD, a question for you please.

My family do a secret santa for Christmas for the adults. I have drawn my SIL, and her hobbies are baking and gardening. If you had to choose the things that you as a baker would not be without what would they be please? And what is the item you would want the most? The budget is £50.

She only bakes for herself and my DS, and just does the basics, but has recently started experimenting with icing and making shapes with icing paste. She bought a basic set of shape cutters for the icing paste from lakeland.

    Many thanks in advance.

I was very impressed with the bakeware section of Wilko too.

O/S all good, Del Monty Mocs only scanned at 30p each, but i didn't want to make a fuss on this occation as SA was lovely and had no issues taking my £10 plus APG, and I didn't want any nosey supervisor coming over!

Delighted to spot that Carver Ham is still working. Thank you. Haven't done an APG shop for ages. Somehow there don't seem so many glitches around these days. Do you remember that Elite person who went to work for the supermarkets. Do you think she is stopping all the glitches before we get to them?!

am in trouble today oh has just realised I put the back to an over 200 year old clock in the fire last night:o:o:o:o ds2 realised as i did it and pulled it out but it is a little burnt around the edges, I blame oh as he left it near the fire while taking the workings to workshop to mend a spring, :p He said its survived over 200 years without being damaged and then I ruin it, I told him if its that old about time it was replaced:rotfl::rotfl: He was not amused...

Don't buy sweets - swap for a banana (small one, 9p), a carrot, a mushroom, small piece of ginger, red onion, brown onion = 6 fillers. Other good fillers are broccoli at 49p (same price AvT), cucumber 49p AvT

I occasionally buy a flump but normally use my shops to stock up on veggies...

I have exciting news, on the 3rd Nov, extra Xmas gifts sets will be available in A, as part of the 2 for £8. they aren't on MyS or A currently and I'm hoping they won't be loaded on MyS straight away. I have a list of a few things if anyone want to look instore for them as triggers:p:D..

Yes please, can you post a list of items, i have been instore looking this morning but not very much available in my local:(

I'm not going to ask what shape they are :rotfl: Another thing that helps is after covering the mould in cake release spray I use a pastry brush to brush upwards so the cake pops out easily, if that makes sense!

It does make sense yes.. the only moulds I have are a square 8'' and a circular one.. oh and some cupcake/muffin style ones. I seem to go back to my trusty tin ones.

What's your next creation PD, have you got anything on the go that we can all salivate over....... .
