    Morning all

I bought some cheap sandwich tins from Homebase for about £1.50 each and they've been absolutely perfect. I had a lot of problems turning out cakes using a giant cupcake mould but I started using Dr Oetker's cake release spray and never had a problem since. Honestly could not recommend it enough and it lasts for bloody ages :)

Massive hugs to Gocat, Dip, Locarr and Strewth :grouphug: x

Never seen the cake release spray pd, will have to keep an eye out for it. I often wondered why we don't have the spray stuff that the Americans have...now I know :T Thanks for the huggle :A

Did that last time. Problem is I cannot resist eating them. I almost put myself into a diabetic coma last time I ate them so fast, not to mention the fact that one of the chewy bars managed to take half a filling with it.

I've given up getting the chewy bars for that reason as well:eek::T
  • Hello.

Could you give me a bit more of a hint about these please. If I had a name to look for I could google them :D

Sorry, no idea of names, but I would go for something with a long guarantee, or with a really good name, maybe from John Lewis or Lakeland

Ring up the store direct (or CS) and they will both say that you should go to CS next time you are in.. Take the products back just in case the rtc SEL isn't on, and then ask for a refund.

Thanks Tigerwhite, I'll do that tomorrow.

    Oh, I'm annoyed now!

I've just noticed that as well as all that, the hair accessories I got that were rtc, to work as fillers (hopefully) all scanned through at full price!!!!

£1 each instead of 10p each!!!

Is it too late for me to do anything about that?

    How many did you get:o:eek::eek:

I agree the cake release spray is brilliant PD. I'm not a huge fan of the moulds I have, think they stick a bit more.

I'm not going to ask what shape they are :rotfl: Another thing that helps is after covering the mould in cake release spray I use a pastry brush to brush upwards so the cake pops out easily, if that makes sense!

    :p:rotfl: you're funny Apo:D
Don't buy sweets - swap for a banana (small one, 9p), a carrot, a mushroom, small piece of ginger, red onion, brown onion = 6 fillers. Other good fillers are broccoli at 49p (same price AvT), cucumber 49p AvT

I occasionally buy a flump but normally use my shops to stock up on veggies...

I have exciting news, on the 3rd Nov, extra Xmas gifts sets will be available in A, as part of the 2 for £8. they aren't on MyS or A currently and I'm hoping they won't be loaded on MyS straight away. I have a list of a few things if anyone want to look instore for them as triggers:p:D..

Dipdap, sorry to hear you're having a rubbish time at the moment. I know we haven't met, but I'm local, so if you ever fancy a cuppa some time let me know. :)
