ooh, bet that would look lovely.

My next baking marathon is for next Sat. Having a halloween party (albeit a day late). Doing sausages in croissant pastry to look like mummy's, a few !!!!!ish cakes etc. the 9 kids can play and the parents can open the wine. Luckily we all live within staggering distance of each other :D

Can we play a game of guess the word, or is it too early in the day for that? :D

Also I read that and thought mummy's what? :rotfl:

If anyone needs me I'll be back in the gutter :p

    Xmas Saver!
Tiger, I am looking forward to Halloween as have a few cool food plans.

As well as Hot Dog Mummies, if you get some cheap white electrical tape and wrap it around cartons of juice, then stick some googly eyes on, they look like mummies too.

To make Jelly Worms, take a pack of straws, the bendable ones are best and fill up a pint glass with them. If you have bendable ones, then stretch them all and put the bendy bits down. Then fill up your glass with jelly and let it set. When it is, a quick rinse under warm water is all it takes to release the worms!

I like banana ghosts too, as they are a healthy option (half a banana then use 2 choc chips for eyes and a choc button for a mouth).

I also like to peel satsuma (other small orange fruits work too) and then cut a green peice of cucumber as a stalk to make them look like mini pumpkins.

I have also ordered a couple of Chefs Squeezy bottles and am going to give Pancake art a try with halloween shapes etc.

As well as the obligatory pumpkins (we had The Goblin King from Labyrinth and a Minion last year), I also will string up a Headless Body hanging from the tree in the front garden and will drop the Head onto the trick or treaters!

Savoy Cabbage still comparing 68p vs 49p M on a shop done at 9.30am today, checked a few minutes ago. As soon as I saw them, I was hoping to beat the price collection update (some in M now at 69p), but now I have 49p return I don't know whether this is the old or the new one lol:rotfl:. So, no clue at all in any event! May post the whole comp. a bit later - I've only just walked back in. I was a bit 'miffed', after all that, that the comp. turned out to be better vs T and therefore I didn't benefit from the Savoy Cabbage - however the difference to 10% lower than T far outstripped the difference to Morries on the Cabbage.

Tiger Rolls are okay - this vs M - at least I'm doing something right on my own instore collections:rotfl::

    3 x ASDA Bakery Tiger Rolls (4)£1.50£1.50

I mention this as I notice it may have only just gone from 2 for £1 in A to 3 for £1.50 in A. I notice when I originally landed on it just now, on msm, it said 50p and 3 for £1.50:rotfl:. That's a clue IMO that something is up when it has individual price that matches the mbuy as it suggests part way through updating and, therefore, in more favourable conditions, it we could catch it right in between we could get a glitch. I then clicked on the offer and it brought up all items msm has - but then the Tiger Rolls showing as 69p and 3 for £1.50, clicked on them to view the product details and pricing in more depth and it then says A 69p and 3 for £1.50.

May there be a trigger in that 3 for £1.50 offer? Especially as, obviously, things may be moving around from offer to offer in A. Compares vs 2 for £1 at Sains anyway (and yes, I did check that on the actual APG result and not just see msm:p:rotfl:, it does have red Sains. price), so Morries simply opens up another possibility for those outside of Northern Ireland. Or is the only positive APG contribution comp. if you are, rather uselessly, going for buying three packs of them.

EDIT: No, misinformer - they were always 3 for £1.50 according to my M list - thank goodness I have that information available to me, and you:D - but individual price increase... from 65p to 69p:rotfl:. (Making them, potentially, a little bit better now if a trigger could be found...:D) Gives people a bit more encouragement IMO to buy the mbuy though and end up paying them, overall, more:(. (Unless getting it back in the way we would hope to!)

Thanks Lawrie. I'm so going to pinch your ideas :D Sounds fab.. I bought a witches hat yesterday (50p in A), I really want to answer the door to everyone dressed as grotbags (with green face paint) and frighten the life out of them!! he he. tigercub will be petrified though, she doesn't like it if i dress up or put a mask on
