Before this thread is removed I think it's better to get it back on topic and since this is a NI forum it's an apt time to bring a religious element into the debate. What was the name of the bread company Sinn Fein boycotted due to them supplying bread to the Orange protest at Drumcree?

Never heard of this. The nearest bakery would probably be Irwins.

It was Irwins and I wouldn't eat that dung if I was paid to.

Moving the topic on, who is your favourite bread supplier or even what is your favourite type of bread from NI?

Irwins or Brennans. Obviously I like spud bread too and potato apple bread. Prefer those from a home bakery.

Probably because it looks like more, and its easier too share around

If you cut a sandwich across the middle - then you only have 2 bits, but if you cut it into triangles then you have 4 bits!
    But... but...

the triangles can't be cut again - so you're stuck with four pieces. But if you go rectangular then each half can be cut in three not just two so you can get six or four bits.

    Fingers not triangles for misers.

Wheaten bread from a bakery (especiall the type Snax do) is gorgeous with real butter and marmalade.

That's more for kids, we used to get the litte square when we were younger, the main sandwich having me cut into quarters.

My ma kept the pieces big. They stopped us yapping.

I've also heard it called "snap" in England.

We call it snap, but in other parts of Yorkshire, it's called pack up.
