Urgent advice needed! CPM rejected my appeal!

Hi as you can see this is my first post and I learned that there are a few experts here about Parking Charge Notice Appeal.

Any advice what I should do?

Should I pay or appeal to POPLA?

I merely forgot to display the parking permit as it was late at night and they rejected my appeal. Their rejection letter gave no consideration to my mitigating curcumstances.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

As I am a newbie here, please don't be too harsh on me :)

You search 'UKCPM' and find a POPLA appeal to copy from and you win! Use the 'search this forum' heading above the sticky threads (get there with one hop by clicking 'GO' by the 'Forum Jump' thingy which appears twice on this page.

Did you admit who was driving in your appeal, or did you write only as the registered keeper?

We need to see the signs and both sides of the Notice to Keeper letter (if you waited for the NTK before appealing).

Please just change the http to hxxp! You just need to break the link by changing it a little so it stops 'working' then we can convert it.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Do not pay, dont even entertain the thought of paying.

From your post youve said that it was late at night and you forgot to display your permit.
Was this in a residential car park/car park space?
do you have a right to use this space as set out by a rental agreement / lease agreement /freehold agreement? this would be helpful as you would know exactly where you stand in regards to permits etc.

read the sticky thread at the top, it may seem a little overwhelming but all the info is there.

    in breif:
Challenge the ticket to the parking company, once you have the notice to keeper and in parallel complain to the landowner/management company who took the parking company on - insist that whoever took the PPC on cancels the ticket

the parking company will most likely reject your challenge they dont give a stuff about cars parking they just want your money.
if this happens then challenge it to popla using some of the tried and tested methods

doesnt seem to work, shows up as

A few more details about the circumstances of how you came to get the ticket, and in what type of car park you got the ticket would be helpful:
    for example:
My vehicle was parked outside my flat/house in the car park, and for some reason the permit was not displayed, this is my own private space that I own/lease/rent as set out by my deeds/lease agreement/freehold/rental agreement"

  • I was a resident at the place but was parked at visitor's parking due to another car already parked at the allocated parking spot (we only get one allocated parking space). I did however have the visitor parking permit to park at the visitor's parking. The car belongs to my husband and I was the one who appealed as I was driving. We have not received NTK yet.

The parking ticket was issued on 5/7 and they only responded on 9/10 - When I told them they had 35 days to respond, they told me they had 35 "working days". When all 35 working days had passed, they told me they were given 14 days extension by BPA to respond and these 14 days (both working and non-working) had also passed and they still failed to respond. I was also told by CPM that as 35 plus 14 working days had passed, the PCN is considered null and void. I have asked BPA about the alleged extensions and they told me that they never grant any extension to CPM. Then on 10/10, I received a rejection letter. This compnay thrive on lies! Having looked at similar threads with CPM response, this looks like a generic rejection letter with hardly any consideration towards the contents of the appeal. I also note that it was the same person who signed the rejection letters. They may as well send out an empty rejection template to all appeals.

I will get an IT expert tomorrow to convert the PDF into word doc and copy and paste the letters here tomorrow.

I haven't used a forum for ages, things have changed so much!!! It's more complicated!
