Perfect :rotfl:
You definitely won't see any pics of me going downhill fast from thereYou will find the food better when you turn left.
One worrying sentence from your itinerary "No registration fees are used to fund alcohol served at this function."
I think sponsorship pays for that.
Anyhow. I'll be working. Honest
I'm going back to school for the first time in... a long time tomorrow to try and convince some children that science is fun. Might find it a bit easier now0 -
Good point. I'll remove the link! Would be obliged if you could too.
You'll have to make do with whatever photos I take. None of which are likely to involve me travelling down a mountain at speed
Edit - if you could remove both links (quoted and the one you posted). I've deleted my post. I'm identifiable via the other.
Whilst I of course recognise you from GDB's link I can't imagine your colleagues or family would....I think....0 -
To balance out my usual whining...
Three years ago I was waiting for the end of my escape from both my ex and my employer. I was heading back to live with my parents with no job and no plan. I now have sole responsibility for a potentially lovely house, where I also have not only the sole say on what goes or does not under my roof, but also get to choose how the place will be (hopefully) improved. As well as the privilege of financing and organising it.
Whilst I'm far from close to (in no particular order) reproducing, sharing my life with a.n. other or proving my worth to the scientific community; I have a job which, despite more than its fair share of tricky days/ issues has the potential to change the world for the better and often gets me to places I'd never dreamt of staying/ being.
I'm now trying to help someone who has had a nominally wider support base than me, but in reality has most likely been severely limited by the hands that life has dealt. There but for the grace of God go I and all that. Brought into contrast as I was ushering off my Dad from his weekend here where we'd both worked flipping hard, but done so with a lot of enjoyment and mutual love. He came from pretty much nowhere and has dragged us up from there.
My life could have turned out so differently. At many points, but mainly the ones my parents controlled, I think.0 -
Upgraded the operating system on my phone and now no one is receiving my emails.
Is it a Moto G? Mine upgraded yesterday.
Mind you I'm so fat-fingered that I can barely send texts let alone emails.:DThere is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

I have a Moto G too. Love it. It is a great phone for the price.
Nikks, hope you realise that when you've turned left once, you'll never want to turn right ever again...Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? We flew to Barcelona last May on EasyJet..............the people in front ordered Cheese and Ham Toasties, and the people behind Tomato Soup

That is true, although the time I was moved from Club on a 747 going to JFK that had broken down, onto Concorde that was leaving 30 minutes later, I did not mind turning left at all.
P.S. My suitcase stayed on the 747 which meant it ultimately got to JFK about 9 hours after me'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0 -

Otoh, you don't know how long they might have had to travel to airport and how long they were traveling on from Barcelona I guess.
It takes us a bizarre amount of time to get to nearest airport ( so much so that from here I don't consider it worth using,....rather go to Heathrow). Annoyingly I have to go there three times in less than a week within the next week. Fir is considering taking a train actually because I think it might be too much for me in such a condensed week ( also have brain doc and some thing else).
That said, I would only choose to order food on a budget flight if I had absolutely no room in hand luggage for something to go in bag. I try and travel properly appled up.fir likes crackers.
