I have (not tonight though!). Hendricks = yes with cucumber and very nice it is too. Bombay Sapphire is a bit more herbal/ strong tasting. I'm not so keen on it, and don't think the cucumber would add anything to it?

Edit: Most of my stash of Aldi gin currently has sloes in it. No cucumber is going anywhere near that!

When I've had it it's been with Plymouth gin rather than London.

I really need a new job.....

In the meantime, Gin will suffice. But no cucumber. Devil's food that, even worse than fungi.

Well, I have zipped up my documents as they are and sent them off in an email. It is not the email I was hoping to send, but it's not worth worrying about that now. I will send another email first thing on Monday.

No victory dances here. But I did bite the bullet and send an email.

    Better cucumber than celery.

Celery is tolerable with salt and blue cheese dressing, accompanied by very spicy chicken wings.

    But under no other circumstances.

And most especially not in a bloody mary.

    Completely agree

That was my most recent encounter with celery. It was useful for stirring, but that was it.

I bring to you, the exciting new world of Mark Ewbie products. He's got a Zazzle shop and has, to date, made 2 sales I believe. Netting him the grand total of about $1, but it's a start.
    http://www.zazzle.com/mark_ewbie_art

Took me a while to work out your link....and then I twigged Mewbie's has designed some stuff? I'm browsing through it thinking, ooooh like that, that would be good for xyz then clicked back and couldn't find his stuff again...everything was then blank.
Have worked it out now.....doh...................love the Stoic Stickman one.

You say it depends on hair thickness. Are curry combs good for fine hair or thick hair, please?

I have phoned all four therapists, as follows:

    1) Seems v nice on the phone, but doesn't offer the type of treatment that I think would be most helpful.
About 30min away from our house, I think.
    Have made appointment for Sunday.

    2) Does offer my preferred type of treatment, and has a v nice receptionist although I haven't spoken to the therapist herself. On the basis of the very little I know so far, this is my front runner.
About 30min away from hour house, I think.
Left a message asking her to call me to make an appointment.

    3) Seemed v nice on phone when I spoke to her a few weeks ago, but doesn't offer my preferred type of treatment.
About 45min away from our house.
    Have made appointment for Wednesday

    4) I didn't feel as comfortable with this one on the phone, but she does offer the treatment I would prefer.
About 10-15 min from our house (v close to my work).
    Have made appointment for tomorrow.

Good to read. I hope she finds one that can help her with this.

When the contents of our house were packed up during the build I was surprised at how little we needed and actually used day to day. I lived in 10% of the clothes I own with the remainder stashed in big check bags.
On the odd occasion I would need to hunt something out, I would find it covered in cat hair as a cat had sneaked into the bag (~as the zips always break) for a nice sleep.

The best thing about finishing the house......and not moving now...is that we are considering what to bring back into it. Old books etc are still stored in clear boxes at the studio. Some possessions have been stored since 2005 (in loft then to studio) which has made us question what do we actually want to keep (not ought to keep because of some sentimental value).

The last bit of 'doing up' can now be done as we didn't finish the dining room apart from decor and plonking a table/ chairs in it for viewings.

Decided to make a hidden cupboard for books and a neat small sideboard/cupboard and once they are full, the rest can go.

We have also abolished 'only to be used for best' and are using all sorts of precious things everyday now.....may as well :)

........I kept quoting posts over the past few days to respond to, then got side-tracked...and everyone had moved on to a new topic.

LIR I would say yes to continuing the under-floor heating into the utility,,,,and your hairdressers sounds luxe. Did you sort out the pill brand issue?

Nikks, you will finish it I am sure of that.

Spirit, your fall sounded worrying...can your house be made into a 'minimal falling hazard' type house? No sharp things, unnecessary things in the way, soft rugs etc? Don't know if that would help?

Celery is part of a mirepoix: the starting point of most French and Italian food. No celery = no chicken cacciatore, no boeuf bourgingon, no bouillabaisse, no ragu.

A mirepoix is that mix of onion, carrot, celery and garlic cooked in oil or butter.
