  • My wife and I have both just completed online applications for TWO of these accounts. No problems other than some irritations with the form filling.

Looking at the new account numbers (and the significant incremental differences) it would appear that many folks are signing up for these accounts.

Do you mean you each applied for two?

Account numbers are not allocated consecutively so you can't draw any conclusions on number of applications from your account numbers.

Our experiences with TSB were the worst we've ever had with any bank - bar none. The interest rate didn't make it worth the constant hassle and incompetence.

Good outcome, though - both accounts transferred to Yorkshire Bank for a total of £300 'welcome' payments. And two more ready and lined up to be transferred elsewhere for more.

Thanks, TSB - you were truly awful, but you've enabled us to net around £500 cash. :)

I have had Vantage accounts at TSB before the Plus ones - never once had any problems with them. Easy to set up and manage accounts, same online banking as Lloyds/Halifax/BOS.

The Vantage accounts have come in very handily as they are still paying 1.5% for instant access.

I chose Natwest and RBS for the YB/CB donor accounts.
