    Jeez guys, back off!

    Op - worth pointing out it's actually a serious offence to pervert the course of justice by naming somebody else deliberately. A lot of high profile cases over last couple of years about similar offences.
    Maybe ask for a photograph - if you still don't know maybe name the most likely culprit and write a small note on it. Something like 'we are not 100% sure which of the two of us was driving but most like __'. At least that way they'd struggle to do you for dishonesty.

    Just put the wife, if you get too many points you won't be able to drive her about, she wouldn't want that to happen would she?
