I try and play with them a bit; I vary between:

Which computer - I have several.
Oh, I'll report that to my IT department.
Are you sure Danny is your name, because you don't sound like a Danny.
How do you know it is my computer?

And anything else which I feel like.

I told them that I had a Mac. They quickly hung up.

They managed to fool my mum though, and got her to give remote access to her computer. :(
  • Oh I love these guys! I like wasting their time. I play thick and pretend to have a very slow PC, so everything they ask me to do I take ages with. They try and get you to install some software so they can remote connect, so I pretend to install it, and when they ask for a connection key, make one up. Of course it doesn't connect, leading to a slow reboot of the router to see if that helps, and wait, my internet doesn't seem to be reconnecting can you help me?

I kept one on the line for over 40 minutes - I figured at least he wasn't hassling anyone else in that time ;)
  • Reported one here today. Indian lady. BoPsie downed phone on her 02037695528

  • Get these all the time, depending on my mood we either play along or let them go through their spiel then say I dont have a computer. First one this week then got angry and said 'You let me go through all that and you dont have a computer?' then put the phone down. Yesterday's was a little more sinister - he then told me what he was going to do to me sexually. I'm afraid I just laughed at him which may not have been the best thing :)

The best we have had was when my husband then pretended to hit me while I 'screamed' for messing with his computer and breaking it, all the time he kept up a dialogue with the caller, who ended up begging him not to hit me again! They're a total nuisance but if you can't beat em, join em so we see who can annoy first
I don't know if I'm getting better or just used to the pain.
    Bipolar for all
  • As that nice Indian lady who rang earlier was so helpful, I thought I would report to action fraud as four others had reported the number today.

Well, we met rename them Inaction Fraud instead. No wonder these calls continue.
