"Windows PC" - 4th call today

I used to get upset(fake), and tell them to stop trying to sell me Windows I don't need them.

Now I have caller display and any, Out of Area, or weird looking numbers which are actually too long to be UK I never answer. You get a few calls over a few days then they stop for a month or so until they sell on the list of numbers to other scammers.

Haven't had a call for a few months but that might be because I'd heard about what one lady did when they called her. I've tried to find a link but my call lasted about 20 mins . An edited version below...

Me : Hello
Caller : Hello sir. I'm from Windows Technical Support and need to fix some problems with your computer.
Me. Wow, that's excellent service thanks very much
Caller : No problem at all sir. Could you please click on My Computer?
( A couple of seconds silence)
Me : Errm, I can't
Caller : Why not sir?
Me : Well, your computer is in front of you , I can't click on it unless I'm there as well.
Caller : No sir , you need to click on MY COMPUTER in your computer
Me : But I haven't got your computer in my computer
Caller : No sir my computer is an icon
Me : Why is your computer so famous ?
Caller : Sir, do you know what an icon is? It is a small picture on your computer.
Me : Of course I know what an icon is. And I know you can have pictures of them on the computer ....I've got one of Kenny Dalglish.
Caller : No sir, I think you are not really understanding me
Me : No sir, I FULLY understand you. Now YOU try and understand ME. Ring me again and I'll take the P!!s for hours next time.

Unfortunately not quite all. People asking about the calls used to crop up very regularly in the tech board. Most were suspicious and had not installed the remote desktop software they ask you to do but sadly not all.

First hit on the last number was one of the many "who called me?" websites. Nothing on the first but it's likely the same thing with a new number.

Got a call from this loser tonight. Heavy accent. Said we had a malicious virus on our computer. We gave him an earful and told him never to call back. He hung up. We've been on the Do Not Call list forever. How can we get rid of these vermin?

I AM GETTING THESE CALLS ALL THE TIME THEY ALWAYS HAVE A555 PREFIX FROM DIFFERENT AREA CODES I AM ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST AND STILL GET WAY TO MANT OF THESE CALLS. THESE PEOPLE THAT CALL NEED TO HAVE A ID SHOW UP ON CALLER ID SO WE CAN FIND THEM AND USE THE LAW TO STOP TIS CRAP FOR GOOD. EXTREMELY...

Caller said his name was Daniel (India accent) and was from Microsoft and he was there to help me fix my problem on my computer. I have had at least 5 calls over the past year. Same voice, different phone number. I told him this is a scam and hung up. I marked prank call, however, I am 100% sure it...

we get the calls on a daily basis usually round 8am when my mum answers and says she hasnt got a PC

if they ring later in the day and my dad answers then the fun begins he asks them stupid questions
