Carers Allowance versus?

Straight to the point (I know how these threads tend to wander off on one...)
I get HRM and HRC DLA
Carer's Allowance was awarded but, because of overlapping benefits etc, its not paid but the person in question gets the pension contribution thing.
If I ask for CA to be stopped, what am I currently not getting and would then be entitled to instead?
Thank you in advance

if you receive inxinw ewkated benefit, kuve ali
pne with no one claiming carers allowance and receive at least the middle rate care componant of DLA/ standard PIP, then you should be entitled to the severe disability premium which is about £61 a week
the premium you already fet sounds like the enhanced disability premium for receiving high rate care.
yif entitled, you would get the severe diosability premium as well

I'm sorry nannytone but i couldn't understand some of what you wrote.
To be eligible for severe disability premium you must be in support group of ESA and receive at least middle rate DLA or any rate daily living PIP. Also If NO ONE claims carers allowance for you and you have no NON dependents living with you. If you answer yes to 3 of these then you'll be able to claim an extra £61.10 per week. You won't get this if you're claiming income support.

Enhanced disability premium is for those claiming ESA in the support group only. It's £15.55 per week. I claim both of the above, that's how i know.

Yes income support does have premiums depending on your circumstances.

I also during understand that post. I'm in ESA support grip, moved over fromIS but still call it that, old habit. No dependants, and as sad HRM and HRC so how do I cancel the CA and get this premium instead? And do I still get the other premium aswell?

Hi, it's NON dependents (no one over the age of 18 living with you) I'm guessing you ring CA to cancel it but i'm not sure because no one has ever claimed CA for me. Yes you would still get enhanced disability premium but remember to claim severe disability premium you must live alone.

The premium on income support is not severe disability allowance.
