The only pile of steaming !!!! is what comes out of the mouths of brainwashed iPhone users !
I am an iPhone user, but I'm also an Android user. I'll support what he said, the Moto G series is a good phone FOR ITS PRICE, it isn't comparable to the flagships from Samsung, Sony, HTC, LG or Apple.
If you are poor, or don't like spending money on tech, the Moto G series are a good option, but don't delude yourself (or try and delude others), it's still a bargain basement handset that is better then the other bargain basement handsets normally in the sub £100 band. But it is no real match for a Nexus 5, or HTC one M7 or M8, or a Galaxy s5, or a Note 3, or an iPhone 5s or 6.
You can be happy you saved your money, but you did still end up with a bargain basement handset...====0 -
Whatever the benchmark tests say, (ie. Antutu - Moto G 17700, Xperia Z3 Compact 44934) the Moto G is a competent budget phone not to be confused with top-end phones.
It's not even close to my iPhone 5 let alone the Sony.I shot a vein in my neck and coughed up a Quaalude.

It largely depends on what you wanna use it for. Benchmarks are fine for seeing what is absolutely the best handset in all-out performance. But real-life day-to-day use has it's place too.
Unless you are going to play the latest games etc then the highest benchmarks aren't always necessary - some people are happy browsing the web, updating twitter and FB etc. It's like arguing about cars that can do 120 or 160 MPH, but if you aren't gonna do over 80 then so what? But in all-out performance then top end handsets beat it easily.
So the Moto G is an awesome handset for it's price, can do loads of the stuff top-end handsets can, will struggle on graphic-intensive games, is far better than any other Androids for the same price, and is quite well built.0 -
I have had an iPhone 3G, iPhone 4 and now have an iPhone 5 which I have now had for over 2 years. I am now sim free.
I am looking to upgrade my handset but can't justify the £619 price tag for an iPhone 6 64gb.
I have read good reports on the Sony Xperia Z3 compact and at only £429 its quite a saving.
Would I be disapppointed with this handset having used iOS for the last few years. Would the move to Android be a shock to the system?

It's a very good handset, fast, compact, waterproof and with a great feature set. I'm delighted with mine. I bought it mainly as I've been ill and wanted to treat myself to an Android flagship. I like it a lot more than the iPhone 5 I was coming from. See my pics from earlier in the thread.I shot a vein in my neck and coughed up a Quaalude.

Mrs has moto g, I have a used HTC one m7. No comparison, the HTC is infinitely better to use. Screen, camera, speed, all better.0

From Amazon I got a nice leather magnetic flip case for the Z3C plus a Sony Smart Band - the music control on the Smart Band works with every music app on the phone. I haven't managed to use it's exercise features much as I'm still ill, but have been monitoring my sleep. It syncs to a very nice app called Lifelog.I shot a vein in my neck and coughed up a Quaalude.

My company had rolled out iPhone 6s, and I don't like the larger size; a colleague says he can't text one-handed on the 6.
The fingerprint unlock feature is good though.0
