An unpleasant thing to happen and I can quite see why you wanted to vent.
It's just a pity that the 'Nasty Brigade' couldn't resist giving you a hard time.0 -
You didn't do anything wrong posting.
Unfortunately there are some very unpleasant people, here, whose one joy in life seems to be to patrol these forums and try to make themselves feel worthwhile by belittling others.
It's quite sad, really.
Exactly Mr Kettle.

Well, have a little think about it - perhaps ask someone with a little bit of common sense - and come back and tell us when you are sure.

handbags down boys, go sit on the naughty step for 5 minutes and think about how you are behaving....I am a cow so cannot speak Bullshine but I do recognise its smell when I come upon it.0

Op is right to still be irritated. Difference of opinion as to how profuse the apologies were but I'm inclined to take the word of the OP.
Restaurant response states that 2 additional members of staff rushed forward to help clear up the mess (fair bit of mess if it took 3 to clear it up). Complimentary drinks offered "by way of apology".
Gave meal free ONLY when OP approached the bar afterwards and suggested it, & only then offered to pay cleaning bill as well.......implication here is that if OP had not approached him at the bar the 'apology' would only have been the initial verbal one and a couple of coke cola's!
IMO the manager should have been at that table immediately with profuse apologies (& perhaps he did), PLUS free drinks, free meal and £20 for cleaning bill (why should the OP pay for that then have to revisit restaurant and attempt to get the cleaning money back).
That is good customer service. Curry stinks & stains - I should know, I cook it (took 3 washes and a drop of weak bleach solution to get it off my tea towel).Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.0 -

Ironically you are typical of the mindless idiot who hangs around Praise, Vent & Warnings and the Consumer Rights forums with your sniping comments and lack of objectivity. Mind you, your user name is 'hilarious'.0 -

I dont think you understood what I did here.
I simply quoted a poster who referred to those who:
"patrol these forums and try to make themselves feel worthwhile by belittling others"
Ironically (and this is really ironic) his/her next post demonstrated just that type of behaviour! My only words were "Exactly Mr Kettle. The rest was a quote.
I've written this slowly to give you a chance to understand it:happyhear Glad you like the username
