he's coming back to change it, says I should have said something when we ended up replacing the floor!! I'm not the plumber!
he's also put his invoice in including things like sponges and tile spacers?! is this normal?! annoying cause I offered to get mine out the shed and he said he had plenty.....0 -
That made me chuckle, its a bodge
Pipe work should be set under the floor at the correct centres, fitted with straight radiator valves with chrome copper tube and rosettes
For neatness we always set pipe work into the wall so the floor is left clear

It would worry me that if that's the standard on show what is behind the rest of the workmanshipHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -

It's anything but an easy fix, the pipework should have been moved before the floor went down.
Assuming your bathroom is on the first floor the easiest way to rectify things now would be to get access from through the ground floor ceiling, if they intend to lift the tiles/floor in the bathroom instead chances are they haven't prepared the floor properly for tiles.0 -

The small section of bars is fitted at the top. Bottom section always has a larger number of barsHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -

I can't see it being a good fix either as the pipes come through a tiled floor.
He will need to extend the pipe work under the floor so it comes up in the right place. Ie under the rad. That means the tiles will have to come up unless there is access from downstairs. Even then you have an issue with two holes in the floor.0 -

I've told him to rectify it so he will have to lift the tiles. Old ones came up with persuasion. Not happy cause it's gonna be using more tiles I could have returned. I have learnt my lesson.
Get him to pay for the additional tiles.0 -
Recently had my bathroom redone and plumber said what size towel radiator to get if I did not want the expense and hassle of altering the pipework. You needed to buy a wider one!0
