New towel radiator, is this right?

I've had my radiator changed to a towel rail during bathroom refit
Is this the best way to have done it? Doesn't look so good to me

Words fail me!
Ideally you'd move the pipes under the floor, so that they came up in the right place. It looks like you have a tiled floor, so that might be difficult to do, in which case you'd neatly run the pipework horizontally to the towel rail.
You're guy obviously didn't want to drain the system down, as he's left the old rad valves in place. There really shouldn't be two sets valves.
However much did you pay? The fitting aspect is genuinely worth nothing (although there's no reason not to pay for the towel rail and valves).0 -
Looks OK to me , could you box in pipes under Rad save extra work ?
you could put your toilet rolls on them. There are more questions than answers :shhh: :silenced:WARNING ! May go silent for unfriendly repliesPlease excuse me Spell it MOST times

I think that you will find that he was just being lazy and not doing the job properly.blushingbride wrote: »I'd rather have it right so if you can suggest I will talk to plumber. I got the rad on eBay so maybe he was being helpful/ frugal re using my valves?I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
Hahaha........looks like a 5 year old has fitted that !!!!!!!!
What a mess............0 -
Your plumber obviously chose the quickest and cheapest way to fit it:eek:
Might be ok if it was just a temporary job until he can do it properly . . .0 -
Put simply.......a bodged job.
He did not want to move any pipework so made it fit the existing pipework. What a mess! It looks like a badly done DIY job.0 -
Oh lordy - that's literally made me LOL - what a cracking end to the day - what is life if you can't smile.
Get the plumber back. If he/she has to take some of the floor tile us then so be it - that's an unacceptable job (unless ,as someone else has said, that it's a temporary measure)
Thanks for cheering me up!

Absolutely shameful. Disgraceful. The person that did that isn't a plumber.
The system needs to be drained, the first set of valves need to be taken off, a 15mm copper elbow pit in tplace and then the 15mm feeding into the new valve.
If you haven't paid him, hold some back until its done properly.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0
