How do you make your tea?

I don't drink tea, but when I make it for others it's sugar, teabag, water, milk, then swish it round a bit, lift teabag out, squeeze it, shove in the recycling for the compost bin, stir tea and serve, job done!

All that flannel about uneven heating and denatured proteins yadder yadder, and not a word about whether anyone can actually taste any difference in a controlled blind trial! However, they do acknowledge that so-called connoisseurs in other fields have been unable to demonstrate that they can tell the differences they claim.0

Boiling water onto the teabag.
Let it sit for at least a few minutes.
Remove teabag, add sugar, then milk.
I can't stand it when people put the milk on the teabag before the water is added (usually coffee drinkers!) I read somewhere that people used to put milk in the cup first because of fears that the delicate china would break if boiling water was poured in first.
Sometimes I use a teapot if I'm making tea for two or three people, but I'm happy doing it in the mug.

Of course, I have lots of better things to be doing... it's called procrastination :rotfl:

I rarely drink tea, but make them for friends. I put the tea bag in first along with sugar if needed, whilst waiting for the kettle to boil. The I pour the water onto the bag. I add the milk last.
I then stir it and let it settle a bit before removing the tea bag.0 -

Shake all the ingredients in a Collins glass full of cubed ice. Top with coke and add a slice of lemon
I'm afraid that the only tea I drink is from Long IslandLeave out the Cointreau and its a Texas Tea.
Use lemonade instead of coke and its a Long Island Lemonade
Use cranberry juice instead of coke and its a Long Beach Iced Tea
I'm a coffee drinker so I prefer an Espresso Martini
No tequila no gin sub midori and topped with lemonade is a Tokyo iced tea.
Or my favourite, no tequila and rather than coke top it with Chambord for a Grateful Dead, delicious and dangerous...The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Black and weak enough to see the bottom of the cup without straining.

Teabag in a mug, two sweeteners, good slosh of skimmed milk, and then the boiling water. Jiggle the bag around a bit until the colour looks right, and Robert is your auntie's husband

I was told the thing about putting the milk in before the water as a method of getting rid of the "rainbow" skim on top of the tea. It really does work!0
