Forgot to also say that both with ryanair and easyjet I have arrived early after the flight made up time on the journey. So sometimes you get quicker flights than you expect.0

Best book your next holiday/trip with your ThomasCook PlatinumPlus card (dosn't have to be booked thru ThomasCook) - this gives you £??? can't recall how much & other disbursments are covered for delays of more than... ??hours, can't recall how long.
I'll find my terms & conditions booklet & double check.
& if you go to British Airways site, you used to be able to sign up - free - for some kind of 'priveleged traveller' scheme. A no cost service, that they offered, no doubt to get you on a mailing list.
