Delayed flight

My flight yesterday was delayed by an hour coming home on Easyjet, can I do anything? Does that new EU law protect me? Ruined a good holiday for 6 people and took the shine off it.
If I can do something, what and how?
Cheers

Highly unlikely, actually very improbable you will get anything. The flight was only delayed by an hour, the earliest the EU rules kick in is after two hours."An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" - Mahatma Gandhi0

A holiday "ruined" by a 1 hour delay? C'mon......................This space has been intentionally left blank0

WHAT!!! OMG AN HOUR, NO WAY!!
How awful for you!
You deserve a full refund and compensation.
How in the hell did an hour delay ruin your holiday ?
Please do tell me because i seem to hear this quite alot from passengers but i just cant understand how an HOUR can ruin a holiday. I usually find its the grumpy, winging, moaning, compensation seeker within the group that gets on everyones nerves and ruins the holiday. Maybe im wrong.
Stop complaining and get over it!
Sorry rant over.0 -
1 hour delay is nowt mate0

OK then, maybe 1 hour isn't that bad then - not a compo type of person was just wondering how the new EU law affected things, got my timing wrong and was actually a 2 hour delay and one or two other things just spoilt the memories a bit.2p off is still 2p off!0

sorry hun, you caught me when i had just got in off a very VERY long flight and i lost my rag at you.
Think its because i cant loose it at MY passengers. Really, im sorry, ive just read it back and im a right B***H.
Please forgive me xx0 -
Isn't it amazing how people assume that as soon as they chose to fly and get then get hit with a delay, they seem to think they are entitled to some form of compensation. These are the same people who complain about paying £50 or so for a return flight to Europe yet expect several times that when they are delayed but still moan about the cost initially. How are airlines expected to keep costs down when they have to pay out time again quite often due to circumstances beyond the control of the airline.
What's really bizarre is you can pay even more to travel on a poxy train, not even get a seat, pay thru' the nose for a stale sandwich yet the rail operator can delay or cancel at the drop of a hat and all you are entitled to is your fare back if you can be bothered going through a long tedious process. No refreshment vouchers if you are late etc.
In short when you fly think yourself lucky....you could be on the train!!

next time you fly try a 24 hour delay, get back to Gatwick to find you can not transfer your pre booked train back home...go off complain to BA who do sweet F*, hire a car out at your own expense to get home, get stopped on M40 for speeding (lack of concentration ...lol ) complain to ba after getting home ...horray get £100 for the cost of car hire ...wahoo feel better now
opppsss forgot to say it was in the Seychelles and they did put us up in 5* Hotel and pay for all our food and drinksnow thats what I call a delay !!!
If you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel0 -
Ha! Try being diverted from Stansted to Bournemouth on the last flight of the day in the middle of the biggest snow storm in Christendom. And dumped there - literally! No airport staff to help. You're on your own. Good old Wheezyjet
This was before the new EU . I'd had a 3 day break in Bologna with some friends, happily it did not ruin it for us
Delays are commonplace, aren't they? It's just one of those things. Even two hours isn't unusual I thought.0
