Currys PC World experience rant

Can't believe you bought anything from there after that experience!
Oh, I know, I am a fool! :rotfl:
I nearly got up and left but I always give people the benefit of the doubt (perhaps too much!) and thought the service to get better! I am silly!Our Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016

And the posters comment "happy days" meant what?With respect, the poster was simply looking at a television (which people are allowed to do without the intention of purchasing) and got approached by a member of staff.
It is very unlikely that the poster has done this to antagonize a member of staff and I suspect that they are merely reflecting on how the experience has played out.0 -

I once applied for a job at PCWorld as floor staff for PCs and Laptops after a redundancy - As someone who had worked both in Retail and I.T. I received a response saying I did not have the correct skills for the job... really?Professional Data Monkey

Might be correct - had they told you the salary? - the main skill would be an ability to live on that.0

I thought that the only purpose of Currys PC World physical stores these days is so that people can go in and look at the product that they then go home and order for less online while earning cashback?0

Well if we break it down;
Happy = feeling or showing pleasure or contentment.
days = plural o day. Each of the twenty-four-hour periods, reckoned from one midnight to the next, into which a week, month, or year is divided, and corresponding to a rotation of the earth on its axis."they only met a few days ago"
So i think it means that the poster felt or showed pleasure over a number of 24 hour periods.0 -

Given I'd been living month to month at a time in a poorly paid IT job, just above minimum wage whilst doing a job worth 3-4 times more than what I was on, I doubt it.
I see it more as they don't want people who know what they're talking about if it costs them sales - probably a "sell at any cost" mentality rather than truthful advice about what is best for a customers needs.Professional Data Monkey

Well this is the thing, I went in because I knew nothing about Chromebooks and wanted some help because I didn't want to order it online then hate it and have the messing around to send it back.
The girl was pretty much rushing me out of the shop. Didn't even get a "how are you?" or anything so I wasn't surprised that when I asked her if the laptop was in stock (note: I never said I was buying it, I said I had seen the offer and was wondering if the laptop was in stock as it was not on display) she rushed me to a computer, got all of the stuff brought out from the back and then asked me if I was buying it (after taking down my details though!) - Lucky for me I was going to buy it anyway after doing the research myself via my phone and the info on the display.Our Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016
