Hope you are feeling better, choille. Good for your kids lucielle, real go-getters!

No proper rain here, and we could sure do with some, though the job I'm currently on is easier without. I'm digging out around the house, removing the soil that just had building waste dumped on it and replacing it with the waste. There's some good stuff in there still, but not a good surface for paths/patio etc.

In other news, we're now waiting for 'something' to happen next door. (Content removed)

All I do know for sure now is that those kids' rights to an education and proper social experience have been seriously abused. :(

    how terribly sad , dave...

you hear about this but don't expect this on your doorstep, well done you and DD1 for getting on the case and lets hope the kids get the help before its maybe too late ..

well ive caused a stir !! on a local FB page I posted concerns that what I thought was a group of 23+ donkeys , many heavily pregnant, [turned out to be 30+ !! ] that appeared wandering around and across one of the most notorious livestock kills road here. not seen more than groups of 5-7 before. I asked if they had been "turned out" by someone and if so why there ?
    WW3 broke out !!
    the "commoners" told me to
"go back to a town to live"
    "i know nothing about livestock"

APPARENTLY they have all amalgamated from afar [up to 10 miles?] for a donkfest cos theres a jack donkey there ??
another reason was they knew what days the bins were put out ??

still its made half the forest population aware of their presence so hopefully none of them get knocked over and left to suffer till someone finds them..

I felt a lump by dolly's booby yesterday [cocker spaniel], took her to the vet last night and not good news . she has tumours under 3 of her teets . she has to have a total mastectomy ? along one side of her body and after recuperation , the other side .... its a major op cos they have to remove a whole length of the mammary glands and take a long strip of skin area about 2" wide . poor baby , as if she hasn't had enough grief in her life ! but it has to be done ... mortgage needed but that's life when you have animogs..

ive concluded that every time I contemplate a holiday break , life goes t*ts up !!!
went to Cyprus and son had his "girlfiend break up"
go to Appleby and mums in hosp !
im going to stay landlocked here on my own little island and not venture anywhere again ...if only for a peacefull life !

Dave - that's a terrible thing with the neighbour. Good that something will happen.

Alfie - sorry about Dolly, good it was picked up.

Off to neighbour's with water as she doesn't like the taste of her tap water. I've made a rod for my own back as water is heavy stuff.

The new medication I'm on doesn't appear to be working apart from making me incredibly tired out. All clouds and changing skies today - fresh & breezy.

Hope your meds get sorted. It's a responsibility having a needy neighbour. Right now I'd rather have Horse Woman 1 back, as there are workmen with power tools in two locations, dogs barking at everybody, lorries beeping and the funny bloke with the bandana has returned to do more to the shed! :rotfl:
Absolutely no chance of the couple next door down there selling today, but having seen the grade 2 wreck they have their hopes set on, maybe its for the best. _pale_

Aw, Dolly's in the wars alfie :(, but hopefully they have caught it in time. ;)

Raining a bit here. Forecast is for more hot. Think Pete will be up cutting the hay soon.....hope so. :)

Mental abuse is life time impacting. But hopefully the authorities will need to act to do something.

Gosh - makes you think what happens on your own doorstep.

Our scary neighbour's kids are away from home now - thank fully but they were really 'controlled'. I think the son is back now for the holidays and doesn't seem quite 'normal' whatever that is, but at least he's been out in the world.

Really quite a thing to have in a small place - you must be relieved that something is going to change.

Gosh how awful for the kids. Well done for putting things into action.

Sorry to hear about the pooch Alfie.

DDs 1 & 2 have both been offered their respective jobs, just got to get everything sorted. DD1 was supposed to be throwing herself out of a plane today but it got cancelled due to the weather.

Things are sliding with everything related to social services/health care. It's quite scary.
Will they be having a social worker?- not that that is any consolation.

Nice day here & off to get some shopping as it's a week since we did any.

In other news, the main road is shut for repairs over 5 weeks and we are part of the diversion. Loadsa people driving too fast, so it's not a case of if there will be a pile up, but when.
