Great to hear you CTC - I've cleared some space in the ole letter box.

Good you are getting into the polytunnel.

Good news on the polytunnel CTC!

I have mixed feelings about mine, as it's never matched my old greenhouse for propagation, especially seed-raising, nor is it much good for things like easy salads at this time of year, when radishes, lettuces etc do better outside. It's great for tomatoes, cucumbers and anything that loves a bit of heat, like the figs.

I do have shading etc. but for many of the perennials I grow, including the tenderish salvias, outside is best ASAP.

Three days ago, I couldn't work in the poly anyway, due to World War 3 breaking out at the new neighbour's. It was bad enough before, but I then learned that she'd just adopted a wild GSD street dog from Romania......I'm not sure it's even been outside yet, but it doesn't have to, with a voice like they have! Of course the others joined-in, and then the well-behaved GSD on the farm decided its territory was under attack.....

Anyway, the day after, I wore headphones. :undecided

Yesterday wasn't quite as bad, but it was so hot, I decided to go shopping, and when I got back it was quiet. Maybe someone else finally snapped...she has 3 attached neighbours, including the couple who want to sell and down-size. One of them has cancer and they've just dropped their price by £20k, but they have no chance of going anywhere just now. :(

I don't know what it is with some people and dogs. Friends had us over for dinner recently, where they introduced us to their expensive new Sproodle, before revealing that the nice couple they'd bought him from in Bristol, hadn't forwarded the details promised, temporarily 'lost' in their house move and weren't answering their mobile....In other words, they may have aided and abetted the theft of a dog. :o It has no chip (now) and hasn't been 'done,' so there's another £350.

Just to add to the madness here, building work on new neighbour's house stopped when her horses started to destroy the wall in their stable. Dunno what that's about, but Horse Woman had it for 15 years+ and the concrete blocks looked pretty solid to me...

At least the shed seems to be finished. I calculate 30 days to erect it and 600 miles driven by the chap who did it. Thank God it was only an 8x6! :rotfl:

The dog situation sounds awful Dave.

Collie Wobble can bark and is told to quieten down but he doesn't get left to go on and on as some are.

It's a lovely day again today but I can't be bothered as I have some paper work horror stuff going on - as you do.

Slowly going to make a mini nusery/garden centre look in front of the tunnel so maybe I might get the odd sale with people walking on the footpath.
Going to cover the whole area with the WEED cover stuff. And then get the wood chip from the local tree surgeon guy..

Amazingly busy you've been CTC - just looks so productive. Great with the peat. How handy was that?

I am finding this heat a bit too overly warm after all the not being warm or dry. Never happy eh?
