Dave - Our local postie died a couple months back. The new lady postie seemed to be taking forever to get to us, so I had a friendly chat & it transpires that she has a further 48 houses to do than Donald the post did - when you see how strung out & isolated some of the places are you would realise what a huge increase that is - So the sneaky privatised Royal mail used that to get rid of one postie for this area by increasing the delivery round size.

Just noticed a half hour ago that a sheep we've moved across onto the croft from the hill - brought them all inby - she's knocked a horn off. So I managed to catch her & OH slowly came with anti - bacterial stuff & a tub of Sudocrem & I got that on her. Had my half decent jacket on & looks like I've been doing butchery this afternoon. Didn't half bleed.

Haven't managed to have lunch yet & I'm jiggered.

Have a good break, when you get it.

I'm just about to make my way somewhere, possibly without using the Motorway, which seems stuffed already. :(

BIL just arrived with tales of horror on the A9, but he never goes anywhere much in his peddle car - Switch. There's a huge key that goes round sticking out of the roof!

    hi all....

have a good break choille :smileyhea

well my bedroom, lounge and barf room are now finished [flooring] chap whizzed through it and was very reasonable £ wise..
I put my old 2 seater sofa back in lounge with the intentions of putting the "new set " in after puppygate... but it looked so shabby I hoiked it out again and then lugged bit by bit the "new L shaped sofa and pouffey thing and armchair from the dining room to my new lounge :j put a throw over one end and bimble and asbo soon learnt it was that or nothing ;)
dolly daydream has a big comfy dog bed in the corner [shes too fat/short legged to jump up on the sofa....]
im very pleased but the old curtains do not go with the color scheme [was chancing it !] so will look for different... may change the wallpaper too...:o only the fireplace wall so easily done ...
puppies are now using the extension patio doors [they live in there] and no short cut through the lounge now ! still got boy pup without a taker but have a week to go yet....

anyway that's been my day... sorry to bore zzzzzzzzzzzz

Sounds like everyone is busy. I feel like I've done 2 weeks at work this week. Hubby is working all weekend And won't get home until after 8pm so I'm looking forward to a gardening weekend. It's meant to be about 24 degrees here today though so may have to try and chill out a little too.
My sleep has been very bad lately, well since March, and tracking it on my fit bit reveals I have had between 2-3 hours sleep per night for the last few weeks. So maybe a lie down on my new bench is in order ha ha
Still waiting on the patio quote...

I've always been a reluctant sleeper, but that really is low! Is it because you don't want to sleep, like me, or because you just can't stay asleep long enough?

They were telling porkies about the M5 last night. No hold-ups whatever, although their digital info boards were telling us there were. What a huge waste of resources! I can't see how it would take more than one person to check the cameras and push the relevant buttons for the entire m'way, thus reflecting what's happening in real time, which is what's supposed to happen. Maybe they think that's all old hat now, as everyone is using apps.....but then if the info they put out is wrong.....:(

Anyway, it was all good, so we delivered scaffolding, bought paint, picked up Henry Hoover, did a quick shop and were eating spaghetti back here in about 4 hours flat. :D

I want sleep and I fall asleep no problem, but wake up lots. My tracker shows I get snippets of sleep and most of the time I'm restless, however I also know I'm awake a lot of it but the tracker uses certain movements to register awake. I've tried everything I know. I help people with sleep problems...ironic huh lol. It seems to have coincided with the rash I've developed that the doc thinks is psoriasis and I don't. My sleep has never been fab but it's definitely worse since developing that.

My Umbrella Plant (Schefflera) is just a couple if inches shy of hitting the ceiling. :rotfl:

Anyone pruned one and/or taken cuttings?

if its what I know as an umbrella plant [like tall umbrella's] then I think its divide the roots, chop down stems and let it start/expand again.. ?

No idea about indoor plants, as we manage to kill most of them, but Dafty will know. :)

Took gardening leave today, mainly because it was getting difficult to walk about the place, so the grass had to be cut. :o Also, the tomatoes were lolling about like drunks and it was really last chance saloon for tying them in.

The courgettes have, as usual, gone from non-existent to marrows only fit for chickens....

Nothing seems to be growing as well as usual, except the grass, or is it just me? I've had so many plant failures this year I'm thinking of taking up something more rewarding, like Pokemon Go. :(
