    :rotfl::rotfl:Plumber's Curse.....

    How true.

Victoria Plumb is really good Dave. I'm amazed at their prices & if you have need of advice the telephone staff are really tops. Just been & ordered a loo & shower & they'll delay delivery with the bath & cabinets I've already ordered off them.....as we are behind schedule.....by about 6 years.......:o

The designs are really great for the prices.

CTC - The weather is nasty, but amazing sky out there tonight - ring round the moon & scudding clouds. Bright out there, but chill wind that's blowing up.

Should have washed my mop out but can't be ashed.

Alfie please email me with your size & wish list.....& I'll try & find him!:rotfl:
  • Oh that poor dog, what a sad thing to happen!

Choille, you'd be surprised, we passed our first ever rspca home check while living in a building site, that was 12 years ago. Esp as it was a puppy we were rehoming, they said they'd be more concerned if the house was all pristine, cod it wouldn't have stayed like it for long!

A few years ago we failed a home check from a local rescue here because I had to work part time and would be away for more than 4 hours, my shift was that long so the travelling took me over, there was zero flexibility, even though we have a big enclosed garden, acres for dogs to run and loads of good walks on our doorstep. And we already had other dogs!

It's a matter of finding the right rescue.

Been out tonight, now can't sleep! It's crafty b1tches on a Tuesday and we had a lot of catching up to do, we haven't all met up since early December.

Over the break I've been researching new ideas and ways of expanding my craft repertoire and my mind is racing after chatting it over for hours, just need to get a few materials in then set aside some time to play, can't wait!

This is not helping me feel sleepy, maybe I should go and count my sheep!

FK.. are you having a stand at the spring show again this year??

its moving back to the Glamorgan hall and being called a diff thing this year.

We don't think we will be doing it.. even though we make money there, it would be nice to have a year, where we go there as punters again.. so we can just stroll around the show, and watch the livestock judging etc, rather than one of us rushing around to have a quick look, while the other one man's the stand..But we will make our final decision closer to the time

Even though I think we are emotionally ready for another dog now... We decided not to get the puppy.. in reality we had to be sensible.. we still got to much going on..
We wouldn't pass an inspection if a rescue came out to inspect... due to the fact we got to much going on...and yes I agree with it... you do need time for young dogs... now if it was an oldie, who slept a lot, then that would be a diff story..

I think who ever left that dog with his suitcase.. loved that dog..as they would not have put him/her in a very public place with his belongings.. and is prob feeling guilty as hell, but with all the exposure now, at least they will know the dog will get a good home. The dog was well cared for by the previous owner, you can see that by the picture.

We don't need a dog, we've got Lila, who normally comes along to do the chickens in the morning and follows us about, treating everything as one big game.

Five minutes ago I met her when putting the rubbish out. I shouted "Oi, what do you think you're doing?" and, quick as a flash, she picked up on my tone, her tail went up and she took off at about 50mph into the shrubbery. Always up for a game. :rotfl:

We've not had a woolly cat before and those I've known have all been sedate creatures, rather full of themselves. But this one doesn't have any airs or graces and comes in cheerfully bedraggled when the fields are wet. Just as well; we can't offer her luxuries here and we need a worker where the rodents are concerned. :)
  • No CTC I'm not doing the spring show, well, I might, I haven't had time to give it a lot of thought yet. I am going to try and do some shows this year but I'd be on my own, my friend's health deteriorated and she's not up for it any more, so I have to look at DH's leave plot and see when I can get away...it might have to take a bit of a back seat while I get other more lucrative earning opportunities off the ground.

On a different note, do you know anyone/ anywhere that might be interested in taking an old Range Rover, for parts? It's not worth much but I'd rather it was reused than crushed!

Got soaked every time I went out today, it's that really wet rain that gets through the layers, I'll be on my third or fourth change by the end of the day!

What year is it? Does it have a dog guard in it you'd be interested in selling? We're getting one for our new/old landrover. (Late nineties I think)

Sorry LIR no dog guard :(

CTC it is a P reg (1998?) P38 4.6 HSE model. It is SORN, a mates got it, who knows Rovers. He was going to put it on the bay, see what interest it might get.

ATM It won't start at all, he's tried the obvious and some not so obvious. It is very low mileage, only 80-90k, us and prev owners did more local journeys, and perhaps a testament to the problems these rovers are notorious for!

We put new tyres on it, fitted a tow bar and changed the suspension from air bags to coils, it's done very little mileage since so those parts are like new and worth more than the car as a whole I suspect!

That's why I think it would be useful to peeps exactly like you mentioned, it's too good for scrap! Please feel free to pass on my details, will pm if you need numbers etc...thanks :A

Hubby is still away as the contract has been extended, it's only ever going to be renewed 6 months at a time so we're permanently uncertain of the future. However his company got a new contract started at another small airport up country last month so as the various nations draw down the civvies step in!

It's all a bit uncertain and no one will commit long term, although some Aussies there thought they'd be around til 2020 in some way or another. The locals just aren't up to taking over yet.

All dried out now for the evening, must get the dehumidifier over here and put it on, draping [STRIKE]damp[/STRIKE] wet clothes on radiators to dry is not ideal :o

The 'wet' rain didn't get here till dusk, though I think that started at 3.30pm!

Odd day. Builder went somewhere else first for "an hour or two," had a bit of a disaster in the first 10 minutes and spent the rest of the time rectifying it at his own expense. :( So....not much done here!

Meanwhile, I phoned Monday's missing plumber who, I was informed, , "spent 45 minutes searching, but couldn't find you."

I asked what postcode he was using.... and it was wrong. "My terrible handwriting." said his wife. No apology. :(

So... he didn't bother with my email regarding the job then, or the attachments, all of which had our address, telephone number etc printed on them.:(

You can only help people so much!

Then, surprise, our local man, who still handwrites all his bills, 'phoned to clarify a few things regarding the heating job. Sounded keen. I almost gave it to him on the spot. :o

Used the day slimming-down our already sparse office, ready to move out again when the sparkies arrive....no word from them either. :(

Oh, and I was fitted for my Panto costume, false boobs & all. Recognition at last! :rotfl:
