I managed to get a refund from a well known online jungle due to the price of Football Manager 2015 dropping since I'd pre-ordered it. Another £1.40 in the bank! Whoop Whoop :j

On another note, how are you finding it? What team are you? I find it too buggy with far too many goals scored in games and too much repetitve press questions to answer!!

  • 16 days until payday and I have £52.26 left in my account (food, petrol and remaining DD's all accounted for in separate budgets).

That's roughly £26 per week, so I am aiming to only spend half of that maximum and transfer £25 into the EF. Will leave it for another week before I do though, just in case something crops up.

Magsnoodle, I've assigned you a number. Welcome.

Having had to move £20 back across, my ef is now at £73. That's sitting in an account with much higher interest rate than my ISA.
Also, it means that if I need to access the cash quickly, I can and without penalties.

Thanks Patman. I've changed my signature accordingly although I am not sure until Christmas is out of the way that I can squirrel money to one side. However, I intend to keep it here as a little reminder that I need to do it. Will be opening up a new account next weekend and that will hold the Christmas funds for next year and the emergency fund. Just need to try not to confuse them.....

    Take care all xxx

I quite like it. Although I agree with both your gripes about the game. I'm Aberdeen and had a great first season right up until about 3/4 weeks to go when I dropped from 1st to 4th. Into September in my 2nd season there now...not doing as well this year!
  • Ok, I have just moved over £2.25 into my emergency fund so my account will have £50.01 when the last of my bills go out. Thought it would make sense to have a nice round number, but always like to keep 1p in there just in case lol. Prefer to see a positive balance instead of a zero balance!!

Hopefully, I will be able to transfer another £25 next week and then if I am good the following week, mabe some or all of the remaining £25.00.

    EF now at £333.47

  • Hi All

Just added another £1.12 from tidying up my bank acc.
Have been xmas shopping and am determined to be more organised this year so hopefully it should all be done by beg of December!!
Not doing food shopping before I need to as my eldest son, who has just moved back in with us again, finds all the goodies you buy at xmas too tempting and can't help himself but eat them.AAH
So to save some money this year food will have to wait.

Off to update sig, enjoy the rest of your days ladies and gents.

Chris, you will gwt there eventually. At least you have used part of your EF for what it was intended for, an out-going that was an emergency.

  • Ah, very frustrating Chris, but better than having to put it on a credit card. You are still halfway to having the fund complete though which is great.

I had to take £200 out of mine recently to buy a new laptop as mine finally decided to give up the ghost after months of limping along on the fumes. Very annoying, but I'm working towards my degree part time so can't not have a computer to work on as it's OU so distance learning.

  • Monthly interest was paid on my esaver yesterday, so I have moved it over to the emergency fund. £1.18 added to the pot, bringing it up to £334.65 :)
