Welcome to the challenge Abundant :hello:
I had a couple of unexpected spends yesterday which have meant I haven't had as much as I'd have liked to pop into the EF
So I have just Tilly tidied another £1.02 across.
EF Total = £27.74 (2.77%)#24 - £1000 Challenge - £397.24 (39.72%) / £10000 -

You're right...It IS a sign that things are changing....and the fact that I haven't spent it in the last Week is saying something...usually I just go "Oh well, I've got that extra £30 so I'll spend it"...and I haven't done....at the moment I am only putting in little bits that I can afford....not huge amounts at a time that I know I would have to take back out again....to me, that makes sense
LoL I know what you mean about working nights....I've been doing it for so long that I'm just used to it now....It's difficult though...I have to balance it with the other things that I'm doing...especially as I'm going into a new Phase of becoming a Psychotherapist (soooooooo nearly there with my Qualification!!) so I have to do a mixture of home-work, Psychotherapy Voluntary Work, Course-Work and other Paid Work...so my Life is somewhat hectic...but then again, most people's lives are hectic I guess....
Well Done on your NSD today....Keep it going...you are doing BRILLIANTLY hun!! xXx
Blimey! When do you find time to sleep with all that going on?! That takes hectic to a whole 'nother level! You are doing amazingly though. Like you I have to move over small amounts here and there, big chunks will only come back out again. We each have to do what works for us.Might be getting a rather large Council Tax bill as they never cancelled my CTR when I started back in work, so for the last 3 months I have been paying £24 p/m instead of £116 p/m.
This could be problematic if it were not for the fact that I have been downsizing my overdraft from my account that my wages go into.
Still intend to build up the EF fund though.
Ouch Patman! At least through your debt busting you are better prepared to deal with it.Debt_Free_Desires wrote: »Welcome to the challenge Abundant :hello:

All those Tilly Tidies (I knew there was a name for it!!!) are soon going to add up, and you will be at 5%, then 10% etc before you know it!
Monday boo hiss! Really not feeling work at the moment. On the plus side I got my yearly increment for 20 hours in my pay packet this month, so will have it fully from next month. Yippeee! Not that it amounts to much extra, but it all counts!0 -
Good Morning Eyebright...
Yes, my Life is definitely hectic....but I have days like today where Life seems a little bit easier, I do have Placement today but 3 of my Clients aren't in due to Half-Term so I don't have to be in until Midday....so it's not too bad...Glad to hear you are getting a little more money...it all adds up!! xXx

And....I am hoping to be able to add a little more money in tonight.....As I have budgeted £5 for Lunch but it usually only costs me about £3...so should have a couple of pounds tonight to be able to put in...
Catch you all later on xXx0 -
Thanks eyebright.
I do not want to spend on the CC that is for sure, this year will just be a one gift each kinda thing.
I have a rather large family tho.
Oh well we will see how it goes no point stressing over 1 day even if it is Christmas day.

Evening all,
How is everyone?
Today was a mad day at work, spent 9 of the 12 hour shift cleaning as the European manager is due to visit tommorrow, feeling a little worn out now.
As for me I have a fews days off now to do as I please as im not back in work untill Saturday night, it should be Friday night but booked it off to take DD12 and DS7 to a local fireworks display.
Tomorrow is an early start as I've got a roofer coming @ 8:30am to to quote for me on re-bedding the ridge tiles, replacing some hip tiles and putting a few loose tiles back from where they slipped, once he's been and gone then off to the cinema with the kids to watch, How to train a dragon 2.
I was going to add £2.46 to the EF tonight as we had this left over in this months bugdet, but I've decided to call the shop in the morning to pick up some treats for the movie instead.YNAB is my new best friend.0 -

It is a great feeling isn't itI'll be plodding on adding little amounts like you and trying not to remove it for any reason other than an emergency !!!

Sorry to hear about the unexpected CT bill, but well done on the inroads your making to your overdraft. All those Tilly Tidies (I knew there was a name for it!!!) are soon going to add up, and you will be at 5%, then 10% etc before you know it!

Congratulations on your annual increment :T
Yes I'm finding that the Tilly Tidies are allowing me to increase the EF without really feeling it.
I've moved over another £3.11 tonight, Now at £30.85 :T#24 - £1000 Challenge - £397.24 (39.72%) / £10000 -

Fine thanks Chris, hope all is well your end
Oooh, I loved How To Train Your Dragon (and I don't even have kids...:o), deffo have to watch the 2nd when it hits tele. Hope you and the kiddiwinks have a fab time, and £2.46 spent on treats is money well spent, especially as it is MUCH cheaper than cinema prices
Work was soooo manic, hate half term, there's never anyone in!! £66 ish sitting in Paypal now. Itching to throw some of it into the EF! Waiting to get the bill for fees though, and will probably need to use some of it to buy Crimbo pressies.
Well done to everyone who is plodding on. We will get there!0
