Thank you all so much, I have just sent the letter to G24, and will now set about e'mailing the landowner and every retailer on site.

I will report back with any replies I get. Still very worried, and hardly slept last night ):

Really, don't let it worry you. I've taken on G24 many times and never paid one of their lying scum invoices. Still have three outstanding. I've had them investigated by Nominet, HMRC, the BPA and Brighton and Hove Council. I've forced them to change all their signs in a local car park. I've had about have a dozen email exchanges with them and a number of phone calls ( most of which threatened me and swore at me ). And guess what ? Not a penny has been paid by me and G24 have failed to take me to court despite me pleading with them to do so.

They are scum. Lying scum. Lying cowardly scum.

Don't let them worry you. ;)

Wow Hot Bring, well done, thank you again for replying, please could you run over the following, which I have compiled to send to the landowner Lasalle.

    Dear Sirs,
I am the Registered Keeper of a vehicle that has received a contractual parking notice for £100. with relation to your land at South Bristol Retail Park, Winterstoke Road, Ashton Gate, Bristol BS3 2QG.

I would ask you to look at this, taking into account the following:

signage failed to comply with the BPA Code of Practice section 18 and appendix B
No genuine pre-estimate of loss, approx. 200 parking spaces are available, and I have been informed that only 10% at the most were occupied. Over £100. was spent in retailers on this site, plus the fact there is an eaterie on site, the time allowed is not practical and a total deterrent to genuine shoppers.
This car park is free and there is no provision for the purchasing of a ticket or any other means for paying for parking. There was no damage nor obstruction caused so there can be no loss arising from the incident. G24 notices allege 'breach of terms/failure to comply' and as such, the landowner/occupier (not their agent) can only pursue liquidated damages directly flowing from the parking event. Given that G24 charge the same lump sum for a 15 minute overstay as they would for 150 minutes, and the same fixed charge applies to any alleged contravention it is clear there has been no regard paid to establishing that this charge is a genuine pre-estimate of loss.

    I await your reply.

    Yours faithfully,
    The Registered Keeper

Any pointers or further info I need to add, appreciated, thank you so much.

I'd add a last paragraph along the lines of :

" As the owner of this land you are in a position to demand that G24 cancel this charge. As you can see I was a genuine customer and one would suspect you would like your tenants to keep their customers. Should you not quash this charge then I will be writing to all your tenants explaining why LaSalle has cost them not only my custom but also the custom of my friends and family.

Since receiving this charge, which I have since found is an unlawful one, I am appalled that an international company would employ a company such as G24. The fact that G24 have failed to abide by their own trade associations rules, broken their contract with Nominet and been investigated by HMRC one would suggest LaSalle are only bringing themselves into disrepute by associating themselves with such a company.

Please confirm in writing that you will demand G24 cancel the charge. "

Thank you, so very sorry, I forgot to ask, do I put the CPN number on the contact to the Landowner?

Yep, otherwise they won't know which one to get cancelled.

I haven't heard back from either G24 or Lasalle yet, not even an acknowledgement, is this normal?

Gawd you've only given them a week! Why not look these things up - read the BPA code of practice for example, and you'd see a PPC has 35 days to respond to an appeal.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I have today received a Final Notice from G24, this is the only correspondence received since I appealed on 4th Oct, which I believe contravenes BPA's code of practice, taken from their website "If you receive a challenge or appeal about the issue of a parking charge notice, you must stop work on processing the ticket immediately. You must not increase the charge until you have replied to the challenge within 14days of receiving it, if at first you only acknowledge the challenge or appeal, you must accept or reject the challenge or appeal in writing within 35 days of receiving it. We may require you to show that you are keeping to these targets". But no doubt they will say they never received my appeal.

Please can someone advise my next course of action, nothing from Lasalle either.
