There are some brief specs in the Trusted Reviews first impressions.
Key Features: 8.3-inch 1920 x 1,200 Full HD display; Dolby speakers; 1.83 GHz Intel quad-core processor; Android 4.4.2 KitKat; 5-megapixel main camera; 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera; 8 hour battery life; 16GB storage; micro SD card support
Cost £129, which can be reduced by Clubcard Vouchers -> Boost0 -
It looks interesting and good value, but they are going to need to convince people that there won't be a repeat of the awful build quality issues that the first one had (I sent two back and eventually bought a Nexus 7). It looks like they are built by Wistron Corporation who I've never heard of but are apparently a spin off from Acer.0

Thought I'd share todays find at Tesco. If your going to boost any vouchers to buy the Hudl2 in store...DON'T!!! The link on 'MY BOOST' only takes you to the original Hudl at £99 and you may inadvertently go ahead and buy... then I guess you have the trouble to complain etc. etc.
Instead buy online! I just did that as I don't want to risk getting the old one and it states that you can only use your minimum £5 vouchers to purchase. I flicked them all through the checkout, including £1.50, £4.00 etc and IT ACCEPTED every single one of them!!!!! 5 kids, one PC, new tablet and case for £28 thank you Tesco...... don't forget to use the third off code if you want the case too on the online buy. Good Luck!0 -

Online 8th
Instore 9th.
Hudl 1 £99 now £79
Hudl 2 £1290 -
Just my luck, bought a Hudl 1 on Monday at the £99 price assuming that was already discounted for the new model launch... Also got one of the nice leather cases yesterday for £3.50, obviously clearing their stock. This morning there were Hudl 2 promotions all over the store and yesterday's reductions were nowhere to be seen..
The Hudl 1 serves my small needs fine.0 -
Got mine this morning and have been "playing" with it this afternoon.
First impressions, it is a nice tablet, screen display is nice and sharp, on startup it did do quite a long download, presumably updating itself and the apps.
Usual Tesco icons, but many of the apps can be disabled if needed.
I normally use a stylus, but it is not as responsive on the H2 as against the original Hudl. Using the fingers gives much better results, I will have to try out another H2 at Tescos and see if that gives the same results.
Quite impressed with the GPS, it seems more sensitive than the H1, and using NavFree.
I installed a VOIP app (CSimple) and that performed OK.
Installed the Dolphin browser but that had problems on some websites, where Firefox was fine. Also in KitKat they have removed some code so you cannot use Flashplayer with Dolphin, although Dolphin state they have a modified version, it just did not work for me, so Dolphin has gone...shame as it was a nice browser.
Sound level is louder than H1.
Cameras...well yes they work..quality not great.
Battery life I do not think from the short period I have used H2 that it will be as good as H1.
Not sure what you do if it hangs, the H1 had a reset, no sign of one this, might be a pushbutton combination.
Perhaps more info later in week.0
