Advice with Court Claim received please?

The Sat Nav was indeed the 3598 LMT-D, however, the buyer is claiming it's actually the 3598 LMT, which is the same sat nav but without the digital antenna cable.
The buyer apparently spoke to Garmin who told him the only difference between the two is the included cable hence he is claiming for a replacement cable.
So, did you send him the LMT-D or the LMT?
Which one did you indicate in your advert?0 -

As previously stated, advertised the LMT-D version, checked my order confirmation that what I had ordered from the retailer was the LMT-D version so I only have the buyers word for it that I sent the LMT version.
Either way, what I did or did not send is irrelevant. The fact is, I offered a full refund on day one of his complaint. I then made subsequent offers of a full refund which he refused. Therefore, I can't imagine a judge awarding the buyer the cost of the cable just because he decided that was the resolution he wanted. Can you?0 -
Did Garmin ever sell a 3598LMT?
I can only find 3598LMT-D
Get them to take a picture of the box front -see what the model number is on the front bottom right.
I think this is starting to smell like a scam.0 -

As I said, I only gave the buyers word for it. He's not being cooperative no so photos are unlikely to be forthcoming. One thought I had was maybe he already had the LMT model and has switched them but this would be near impossible to prove.0 -

It looks like all the current ones are digital - even the £120 one at Halfords. I googled for 3598LMT and almost every hit was for 3598LMT-D. How long ago did you buy it?0 -

Surely OP, you would know if a cable was included or not though? I think you are being very patience as lot of repeat questions etc on here, I am sure you will win. Buyer seems to be a bit of a crackpot as you did offer a refund and as you say, the only other thing he could sue for was the return costs.People don't know what they want until you show them.0 -

Sorry for the delay in responding. There was a cable included (the cable supplied by Garmin) but the buyer claims it was an analogue cable and was expecting a digital cable (both look identical according to the Garmin website).
Anyway, I have sent off the form agreeing to mediation and the buyer has sent me a photocopy of his form agreeing to mediation, but I still don't know what he is expecting me to agree to other than the return of the Sat Nav. I am still not prepared to pay him £99.99 for a cable that he should not have purchased.0 -

Time for court I'd say. You've done all you can.0
