I asked the same question on here a year ago and bought the BT 150 on recommendation. It's been fantastic!0 -
Parents value their children above all things in life. When a newborn arrives in the household, parents tend to worry and want to be able to watch over them 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, since babies are totally dependent on their parents for everything. However, parents are human and thus they need time for meals and rest and can't always give their undivided attention to their newborn.0

I'm afraid I was one of the parents who wanted a movement sensor for peace of mind. We went with Angelcare:

To be honest we only got two false alarms all the time we used it, maybe we were just lucky, but it definitely helped me sleep easier! They now do a video version, but I just had the standard movement and noise alarm.0 -
We've got this one:

(Was on sale at £75). We've previously had the BT 150, but our toddler broke it!
The projector is great, and as a baby monitor it's highly responsive, crisp and has a good range.
I've also got one of these:

(But it was £55 when i bought it). It has great night-vision and i can watch it on the PC/ipad.. unlike the 'baby monitor video cameras'
I love the ip-camera... it means that if we here our baby murmuring, we can check on the video feed to see if he's ok... usually he's just moving and will go back to sleep. Saves running up the stairs and waking him up. When he's older, i'll re-purpose it as a security camera0 -
We've got the Angelcare one and only had one false alarm last summer when the room temperature went above the limit we set. We just readjusted the temperature boundaries and its been fine ever since.
My LO often moves to the very top of the cot, so well off the monitor pad but it still picks up the movement of her breathing. We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.0 -
We had the Bt150 and used it alongside the angelcare movement only sensor mat. Never had trouble with eiither and worked well together. Certainly gave me piece of mind xx0

We went for the Angelcare AC1100 with camera and breathing mat and not regretted it.
We looked for one that would not be subject to interference from wifi in the house (which a lot do), it must be suitable for use in travel cots and must not be prone to false alarms when the baby rolls. Plus it must have both camera and breathing mat.
After doing research here and online the angel care was our preferred choice, we have used it in a couple of different travel cots without issue and the camera function is great. It has room temperature alarms amongst several others which is great. Does cost a bit more than most but well worth the money.
If you have any questions on this mat please ask and I will be happy to help.0
