i've just tried logging in and it acts like i don't have an active loan anymore. it'll be interesting to see if they attempt to take the payment for this month that was due today.

i only had two payments left but it feels like a massive relief to have this gone. never again, i'm now debt free and can't imagine putting myself through this again.

edit: i should add -- i logged in last night & it said my balance was £0.00, now it says the above. so i'd imagine anyone with the same message had it set as £0.00 at some point, even if it wad briefly, before it changed to act like there wasn't an active loan?

What might explain this is that apparently they're building another site and transferring peoples accounts over to the new one, looks like they've just started this and they say it'll take a few weeks, you can still log on to the old one which I presume you did but you won't see any information about your account etc, of course, needless for me to say that it might have been a good idea for them to let customers know about it so they don't bother to log in to check their details but this is yet another example of the brainless way the whole company is run in all honesty.

If their writing off peoples debts and refunding substantial amounts of money while working with the FCA to improve the service they offer and ensure that in future they do not loan to the wrong people in future means their running their business in a 'brainless' way then lets hope that no other payday loan company follows suit eh?

They're taking a significant hit here and are doing an awful lot in a very short space of time so if there are a few "kinks" along the way then so be it... There is nothing to stop people calling them to ask for advice if they're worried. Personally I'd rather they do a good job now rather than botch it and cause more worries later on down the line.

It no longer states my amount and days in arrears. I wonder when it will clear and show £0.00!

    Is anyone elses different?

Received a reply by email from Wonga today - in reply to an email I sent a few days ago.

Basically says Thanks for your email.

We can confirm you don't have any balance outstanding with us.

    Best wishes,

    Collections Team

When I log in I still get the

so they are obviously trying to get rid of the back log of account on the online page and hopefully will clear soon.

How long does it take for credit file to update once Wonga have informed them?
  • I got the email saying my debt would be wiped by the end of October but it's still showing on their website as owing and they've just emailed me a notice of intention to register a default on my credit record.

I assume that email is automatically generated by their system?
  • 5th Nov and mines finally been cleared from my account. It says "you do not currently have a live loan with us" - thank goodness!

No email confirmation from them to say it's been zero'd as their earlier email on 10th Oct said they would.!
  • all cleared from Wonga,s site , just checked on noodle , default now gone , showing as closed accounts/settled , and UC" for july "st" for august.

can people see this ? , anyone knowing the Wonga fiasco , would know the reason for "settled"
