It is easy as done.
One just needs to change one's speed every 50 meters when the speed limit changes.
Really, just how difficult is that?0 -

Wouldnt be any need to turn them round if they did.0 -

It's not just the limits and the speed cameras waiting to catch you out, but also the constant narrowing/opening of the dual carriageway causes other drivers to behave like lunatics, which means your paying more attention to the f**kwit that's trying to kill you, than your paying to the speed camera Talivan hiding behind the petrol station sign.
It's a deliberate and calculated attempt at making money by causing chaos in order to catch out drivers. Worse is the corruption that lies behind it, the Police, the camera partnership, the local council, all involved in this scam.
The Police are under budget restriction and glad to be rid of speed enforcement to concentrate on their "targets", but the others? Well, somebody is certainly making a nice little nest egg for themselves at our expense.Do I take that to mean that you have been caught by (at least) one?
I have never been caught by one. Consider all limits over 40 to be advisory and won't admit to speeding on a public forum.
Yet, I feel the same. They are not for safety.0 -
Gatsos............they only work one way with the camera facing away.
Wouldnt be any need to turn them round if they did.
Truvelo's (that can do you forward facing) and Gatsos can be identical and one wouldn't know until up close (and only then if one knows what the difference is between the two) by which time it would be too late if speeding.
Again, nowt really strange about slowing down for a forward facing camera when it maybe a truvelo which you are approaching.0 -

Technically, and for completeness, the traditional Gatso DOES work both ways and can both measure speed and take photographs of vehicles travelling in both directions.
Luckily for us Brits, Gatsos are not UK Type Approved for use in the 'forward facing' mode and therefore their measurements and photos in this direction are not classed as admissible evidence for prosecution.
However, in Belgium and the Netherlands, and other countries where they are used, they are approved for use in both directions, which is worth knowing.0 -
You cant tell the difference between a Gatso & a Truvelo ?0
