Scottish Power -- the only way to get a bill is by leaving them....

Hope this post is in correct place (I am adding more queries re SP practice) and someone can advise me...
I had not received any quarterly bill since April and previously was not able to be billed on-line as the SP website would never accept my readings. 2 weeks ago I left readings with customer service who couldn't update on system (sounds familiar?!) but told would do this and bill me. Nothing happened - since found can now put my readings on-line but no-one has done this as promised so I have.
I notice that my account is showing credits since April but no quarterly debit has been taken off. Is this to my detriment? I was wondering how much in credit I am but I cannot be sure till they debit me (due to my crap £ skills). Any suggestions would be great. I am horrified to read in thread someone was needing to leave before they got a bill and suspect it must be in SP's interest since the money is in their bag up front.0 -
I have done the same as u and had the same answers and nothing works it doesnt matter if u put your reading online as it does nothing. And yes they cant update the system at the moment i had that so many time. Just get a complaint number by calling SP and asking for the complaint number and complain to Ombudsman as your never going to get anywhere with SP0

This company is beyond a joke. I changed to a cheaper tariff (in order to leave without paying a penalty) and they have decided to remove my dual fuel discount. It's peanuts but the level of incompetence continues to astound me. I assume they have forgotten that they are supplying my gas. Website message and email message (to be answered in 5 days) have been ignored. I can't face another 50 mins. on the phone. DO NOT EVEN THINK OF MOVING TO SCOTTISH POWER, THEY ARE TOTALLY INEPT.Je suis sabot...0

Thanks IMHO, for suggesting I get a complaint number. It'll be interesting to see if my initial call will prompt any response, but I doubt it judging from the remarks from everyone on this forum.0
