Totally agree , can't wait to be SP free !0

36 mins on hold today before i gave up. Been trying to get through to them for weeks now.0
-
Now I understand why they have to go door to door, when customers are clearly dropping like flies, through shoddy service!Live for what tomorrow has to bring, not what yesterday has taken away0

I complained to Ombudsman and part of what i wanted them to do was not fine me for leaving them as they have not supplied a service so why should i be fined when i want to leave. I will never ever go back to them. They knew last summer their new software wasnt working and now 15 months later its still not working.I am off to one of the smaller companies as soon as mine is sorted.I had no gas bill since November last year after lots of emails and must be over 40 calls it never ever got sorted.
Eon and SP need shutting down completely.
Just when you think Sp couldnt get worse they do!
They have now stopped taking the DD for the electric so not only i have not had a bill for Gas From Nov i am not being billed for Electric as well now.
Ombudsman has my complaint and i am still waiting for the results0 -
My complaint is with the Energy Ombudsman also.
Scottish Power are definitely the worst company I have ever dealt with (and that includes Npower who I switched from).
I switched to SP in June but SP arbitrarily increased my direct debit before the first payment was taken, claiming wrongly that the increase was at my own request. I contacted them by webform to ask them to revert my payment to the originally agreed amount, but they have ignored this and taken 3 payments of the higher amount, and never given any reason for the increase.
The account is not properly set-up and no consumption is showing despite me supplying opening and subsequent monthly readings. My initials on the account are showing as MR rather than my actual first name initials.
They sent an email to me asking for a meter reading, which I provided immediately only for another email to come in 4 days later to say I hadn't provided a reading.
I have been unable to get through to them on the phone despite numerous attempts, their callback system doesn't work and they ignore web forms sent to them.
I have switched away to EDF and that should complete next week, but will be an effort to get the credit back from SP for my account (some of which was caused from Scottish Power helping themselves to extra money from my account as above).I came, I saw, I melted0 -
When I left Scottish Power they took 8 months to send me a final bill.
To my surprise they owed me £200 which was nice.0 -
When I do leave, I am going to make sure they owe me money, not the reverse.Je suis sabot...0

I owe them gas from Nov last year so nearly a year of gas and my daughter and her family was here for 2 months from Jan 3rd till end of Feb so heating was on 24/7. Electric i owe from the last 3 months so a lot of cash i owe through no fault of my own and i had called so many times at least 20 times to ask them to sort it out and numerous emails.0

Scottish Power are the worst company I have ever encountered.
Cut to the chase on my complaint, I went to the Ombudsman and basically they have agreed they have been completely useless and will be crediting my final bill with £100.
I even went to Twitter to plea for assistance, no luck.
Avoid for your own sanity!0 -
Same i went to Twitter as well and even found a email of the guy who sorts complaints out in SP.My email heading was Please Help Me with bill. No reply. So ombudsman now but not expecting much help from them. But more people complain to Ombudsman the better0
