Try antstop in a red spray bottle, from garden centres and Morrisons. Worked a treat last year and so far they have not returned. Can be used safely with pets and rugrats. You will notice the disappearance over night.

I spray a laquer from B&Q all around the outside of my house including the airbricks, this lasts for weeks as long as you have a rain free day when you apply it.

I then place pots of Nippon gel all along the interior route, this has reduced my ant problem year on year until this year there are a very small number in the garden and none as yet in the house.

    Hope this helps

AVON skin so soft has new packaging and names, the original Woodland Fresh is now 'Soft & Fresh' the dry oil body spray you need is product code 25742, currently £2.50 a bottle in current campaign 8.

I'm an Avon rep and my customers seem to swear by it!! There is also the body souffle, bath oil, foam bath and soap if you want the whole soft & fresh experience!!!
Posted from Saint_Chris on the numerous uses of Avon SSS, some of these are useful for cleaning.

S-S-S is useful for loads of other things just look at this list.

USE’S FOR AVON’S ‘SKIN SO SOFT’

i was talking to my daft brother about this the other nite... and began to listen intently when he said oh i know how to get rid of ants...... he began by saying ... its cheap (great i thought) ... and easy (even better)... so he says, get some pepper from the kitchen... spinkle it over a spare house brick and put the brick near to where the ants are.... so there i am listening with interest.....

he continues to say, so when the ants crawl onto the brick covered in pepper, they sneeze... bang their head.... knock themselves out ... at which point you sweep them up and put them in the bin before they regain consciousness.........

oh and there i was listening and beleiving every word.............

    is it me???????

well you can pour hot salty water into a nest if you can find one.
I dont like that though as it seems a bit heartless. (I cant kill slugs either).

Well have purchased this Ant Killer Pen off eBay:

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4378628946&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1

along with some Avon SSS spray. I hope it works. I hoovered up 30+ ants in my living room this afternoon. Can't work out where they are getting in. It has to be somewhere around the window frame. They are really starting to get to me now! :wall:

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
On Saturday I sprinkled a load of cinnamon in the corner of our patio door (think ours were coming in there). Vacuumed as many ants up as I could and since then we've only seen a few ants!
Just hope the cinnamon doesn't stain the light beige carpet!
