Week 3 - Day 3
Good evening diary.
Sorry I haven't been on for a few days, one of the kids had a couple of days off school sick so I've been a bit busy!
Went out for dinner today for our anniversary, cost us £25 for dinner and drinks for 2. Probably shouldn't have gone, but dinner was good! I think we both enjoyed it being just the 2 of us for once.
Pay day today, direct debits are going to decimate the wages tomorrow. Car was serviced today so that hasn't helped.
Oh well, bills got to be paid I supposeHistoric Debt August 2009 = £63,600 10th March 2017 = £0 100% paid all gone!

Week 3 - Day 4
Hello diary
Well the first of 9 payments for our holiday came out today, 1 down, 8 to go.
Still ploughing through the overtime.
OH should get a bonus this month, although rumour is it will be low (profit warning or something). Could do with it being 4 figures like it used to be but a bonus is a bonus and not to be sniffed at I suppose.
I'll be glad when this horrible cold weather clears off and spring starts, I'd like to be able to feel my fingers and toes againHistoric Debt August 2009 = £63,600 10th March 2017 = £0 100% paid all gone!

Week 3 - Day 6
Good evening diary
I've been outside enjoying the snow with the kids, they did a bit of sledging (no sledges here, the used their plastic storage crates from under their beds). Who needs expensive sledges!
Hopefully this snow goes soon, the local supermarket looked like it had been hit by a plague of locusts today :rotfl: so going to attempt to do my shopping on Monday now (my online shopping order was cancelled this week - don't blame them, those poor drivers need to stay safe). Suppose that's saved me some cash on groceries so far.
Nearly the end of another week already :eek:Historic Debt August 2009 = £63,600 10th March 2017 = £0 100% paid all gone!

Week 3 - Day 7
Good evening diary
Well another week is over and there's still money in the bank.
Car insurance is up for renewal and we usually pay annually to save a bit of cash, quotes are currently over £500  for both cars. Looks like a bit of shopping around may be needed (will try to take advantage of cash back offers)
The snow saved us a little bit of cash this week, some of the cancelled clubs are PAYG so that's a few quid we didn't have to shell out.
Weighed myself on the wii fat and I've lost another 2lb :j yay me! :j
Bring on spring, I'd like some nice comfortable temperature right now, the cold has gone on long enough.Historic Debt August 2009 = £63,600 10th March 2017 = £0 100% paid all gone!

Week 4 - Day 1
Good evening diary.
Well another week has started and I'm feeling optimistic (despite the car insurance bill looming over us)
Managed to grab some reduced bits of food with the shopping today so packed lunches tomorrow will be full of whoopsies. Was mostly fruit but it'll last till tomorrow
Got to start paying the council tax at the end of the month  yet another expense.
Better get to bed, got work in the morning.Historic Debt August 2009 = £63,600 10th March 2017 = £0 100% paid all gone!

Week 4 - Day 3
Evening diary
Well I've managed to get some overtime in already this week, been offered more for the end of the week and I've agreed to do it (money will come in handy at the end of the month)
Need to do the online shopping for delivery tomorrow, nice big shop to make up for last week's lack of delivery.
Need sleep, better get to bed!Historic Debt August 2009 = £63,600 10th March 2017 = £0 100% paid all gone!

Week 4 - Day 5
Morning diary.
I'm in need of a cheering up today.
I read a newspaper article today about help to buy. The first people to take theirs out was now 5 years ago and so the effects of interest on the loan are starting.
When we started out we said we'd save £500 a month for the first 5 years in order to help pay it off but that fell by the way side.
I know we've still got 2 years to go and we can't go back and correct what we haven't done. Looking forward we can just keep on saving the £500 a month we finally are now.
Just got to hope in 2 years time the bank lets us remortgage to fill in the gap.
We're hoping the fact we're overpaying our mortgage by a couple of hundred each month will go in our favour
Car insurance cost was just over £600 for a multi car policy (2 cars) and that's gone in the credit card for now (we always pay annually as it's cheaper).
This feels like our year of austerity.
Hopefully at the end of the year I will have a face like thisinstead of like this

Back again.
Just weighed myself on the wii fat and I've lost another 1lb
My BMI is now just below 30 so I'm out of the obese category and into overweight and my weight is now below 15st :j
10lb lost now, I'm well pleased with myself!

Week 5 - Day 2
Hello diary
Sorry I've not been on for a few daysbeen stuck at work.
Had a productive day today, I've managed to sort out another online earning websiteso can add that to the one I already do (surveys and all that jazz, same as before) so hopefully that should bring in a few extra quid each month.
Had a message today to say one of the mobiles is up for upgrade so that's the handset paid off (means the bill will be £6 a month less :j - I'm not upgrading it as it is currently working fine!)
Looked into tax credits and it looks like next year we still owe £230 ish but my annual income will be lower so that means we may be entitled to some tax credits again. Means they will take the overpayment from the award and not from our bank account :j that's another £50 a month we will not be paying out. On top of that if we do get an award then there may be a few quid extra coming into the bank account.
Still can't wait till later in the year when our finances should settle down a bitHistoric Debt August 2009 = £63,600 10th March 2017 = £0 100% paid all gone!
