230v GU10 LED Bulbs, however a quick peek of the internet shows so many various options and now I am lost.

With a house that uses 12 GU10 bulbs, and various other bulbs clearly money to be saved by reducing electricity usage..

    eBay shows 10x GU10 3w LED bulbs for £18.99, however local B&M, B&Q, Homebase etc have 2x GU10 3w LED bulbs for £5.

    Any tips?

    Is cheaper always better?

The phrase you get what you pay for could almost have been written exclusively for the LED lighting industry. 3w Isn't going to get you much brightness, in fact i'm wondering what application a 3w LED Spot would be used for? The only thing i can think of is for creating atmosphere in small corners, which is common in restaurants.

You won't be able to effectively light up a kitchen or lounge with a 3w LED Spot (or a 4w led spot for that matter) unless you like things really dim.

There are so many considerations when it comes to LED Lamps, most people see the initial price and the claims of the retailer, then buy the lamp and simply judge it on first impressions. Having a bright and warm colour is the easy part, developing a product that has a good quality of light and longevity is a very difficult thing to do and the vast majority of all LED lamps fail in this regard.
