  • Nice one? It's cat C!

Looking at the photo of the nearside, it's had a front end and the passenger door at the very least.

Yep, both front wings don't sit flush.

Oh the horrors that lurk beneath.

Fabiia estates are good little cars. I had a 2001 model

Autos are rare but have a look and see if you can find something like a 2010 model in your range

I had a Corsa for years and could fit our Japenese Akita cross in the boot no problem, with plenty of room to spare.

I had the car for 5 years and it never gave me any problems. Pretty boring to drive though!

I would advise a VW Golf, as they are fun to drive, German quality and hold their value really well. As you have discussed in the OP, yes they are more expensive than the other models mentioned on here, but worth it IMO

I would advise you stop listening to people who just repeat whatever carp other people tell them.

The Golf earned it's reputation in the mid 1980's, it is now an ENTIRELY different car, it shares not one single part with it's 1980's predecessor and people have no end of trouble with them now.
Even when owners have trouble, they can often be delusional and think "well at least it's a Golf, otherwise i'd be having my car fixed every 2 weeks".

They do however hold their value, but only because of so many fools who believe gossip over fact. We need a couple of generations to kick the bucket before we finally get rid of this urban myth.

SEAT, Skoda, Audi, all have a car based on the Golf platform (chassis, engine, gearbox, electrics), but none have this legendary/godlike reputation for reliability.
