  • Thanks Dragon. I always love the buzz on MSE in new year, even if some of it is short-lived for some people.

Loan has gone out today as hoped and for the first time I actually have more money in my current account on the day it goes out then I owe on the actual loan. Not sure I've ever been able to say that before!

Bit of a boring dat for me today though. Am going to potter about doing some housework and cleaning, but nothing strenuous. Just enough to keep on top of things and keep active until baby puts in an appearance. I find the place always gets messier so much easier and quicker when hubby is off work, so it will be quite nice when he goes back on Mondayso I can keep on top of it easier :D

  • I'm so bored! I've pretty much done everything I can do to prepare for this baby and have nothing left.

All my money is transferred and accounted for the entire month, apart from a couple of scheduled direct debits which still need to come out.

I'm totally on top of my housework, washing etc. The food shopping has been done and everything stocked up and I've batched cooked tons of meals for the freezer for when baby arrives to make things easier for DH.

I know I should be just relaxing, but it's so boring having nothing to do and the days are dragging on now.

    First world problems huh!

  • Thanks Dragon :)

Been a while since I logged on but my beautiful daughter arrived safe and sound at the beginning of the week and she is incredible. I am so in love with my little family right now :)

Will hopefully get a chance to log on later anc catch up with some diaries and posts.

Haven't really done anything MSE for a week or so, but I have barely spent any money so things should just be ticking over really.

  • Been over a month since I managed to post on here. I had forgotten how little time you get with a new baby! Anyway, all good in the stilton household. Baby has slotted right in and my toddler seems to like her, so that's good :D

Not done much in the way of moneysaving, although I have been maintaining my various savings pots. Transferred over my set amounts into the £1 per day fund, so that's at £90 now, and also into my 20p per week no fund, so that is at £77.60 now. I've been doing that one backwards whilst I am earning higher maternity pay, so have paid in December and November 15 amounts. Figured by the time I drop onto just SMP I will be paying smaller amounts each month and not the higher ones. Have also decided that I will use the money saved to buy new clothes with as I haven't bought myself anything new for 2 years now. I will have lost the last of my pregnancy weight by then (only 10lbs to go) so will be a nice treat :)

Need to catch up on some diaries on here and get things back on track now I am finding my feet a bit more.

  • Just sat here reading some posts while little girly sleeps on my shoulder. It's lovely. My toddler doesn't want many cuddles now, as he's more interested in doing his own thing (making mischief usually!) so it's nice to feel so wanted again :)

Payday tomorrow so I can start moving some money around again. My husband is going away for 6 months with work (he's in the military) so we only have about 5 weeks left together before he goes. Will be tough for us as a family but I am trying to stay positive. Hoping I can use the time to save even more money as I will barely be spending while he's away.
