Can you confirm if during you conversation with them they ever told you that you had not placed the order via the affinity link?

I purchased the Motorola in mid-March. Only spoke to them once (eventually!), about 3 weeks ago. I gave their agent the url I had used and he pulled it up on screen while I was on the phone. Then I directed him to the section where it made reference to the £40.

He went away to consult with a supervisor and said I would receive it in due course. To be honest I was not very hopeful but was pleasantly surprised on Monday, 2 months to the day after purchase. At no point was I asked who I worked for.

    Hi

    I would recommend this site - https://www.reestitmutton.co.uk

The person who runs it is a regular contributor to MSE and keeps the 'Lastest Additions' page of of his site updated with the latest offers.

If you are happy to go down the cashback route then it's fantastically cheap.

MobileShop for example have 200 mins / month on O2 plus a Nokia 6020 which works out at £60 for the year.

I've just taken delivery of a V220 phone on 02 with 100xnet minutes and 100texts (double mins and texts for 3 months) for the grand total of £0 for the whole year. Its a redemption scheme payable at 6 and 12 months. Applied through Rpoints so I should hopefully get £12.50p back from them. The site is https://www.mobileshop.co.uk and the offer is on the first page. Many thanks to someone on this site.
    and short arms!

when you receive your dialaphone pack with your phone, on your "special offers" sheet, did it state that you had ordered from the "theworks" website so will be getting the £40 extra cashback?

cos it didnt say on my sheet, so dont know if ill be receiving it?

    please let me know.

also i did ring them and ask for a written confirmation that the cashbacks do not require a vouchr being sent in, but they said it is in written form on the "instructions on how to claim cashback" sheet.

    is this right?

also they said that they stopped the voucher system about 3 weeks ago.

No, there was no mention of the £40 on my 'special offers' sheet, just the £10 online discount. See post 22 - whether I would have received it if I had not followed it up is a moot point.

I was provided with 4 vouchers to claim cashback at months 3, 6, 9 and 12.

Cashback 1 credited to my bank account by Dial-a-Phone today. So far so good, and quite impressed. Insurance cancellation also went smoothly.
