First Time Buyer Mortgage Fraud

    Quite simple; report it.

We all are paying for her mortgage; you are renting because of people like her taking advantage.

Not really... If it is the equity loan scheme then she will have to pay it back and this will rise in line with her house price so could potentially be a lot more.

The tax payer will never pay for her mortgage. Whether or not she is paying tax on the rent is impossible to know without seeing her self assessment.

You found the place on Gumtree and then expected her to use an agency for the tenancy agreement? Why not find a place through an agency rather than gumtree if you wanted an agency service?
She advertised herself as an agency, after seeing her face to face, she said she manage few private places, she charged me £200 to do some background checks and a professional tenancy agreement, then she asked me for a copy of my credit file and the tenancy agreement we signed was a template downloaded online. When i pay £200 the least i expect is a specialist third party checks and agreement.

Anegla, do you really want to get in trouble? you dont know what kind of people that person might know.

what are you gonna get from that? do you think you are a better person because you have reported that?

She is just a person that wants to make a living and get extra cash.

If you want to do something big to help this society go for the big fraudsters.

(people like you makes me feel s***)
Oh really ?!! so if I can't reach big fraudsters i let the small ones go through with theirs ?! I believe if i report this, there could be a chance for one genuine buyer to get his dream house to live in and start a family, and not just to make some cash, which is the purpose of this scheme. That person could be you, a friend or a relative

Ah I see...well this does sound a little bit odd and agree if you are paying a fee for background checks then I would also expect them to be carried out.

Guys, you forgot murderers and rapists in your outpouring of virtue.
And would someone, please, think of the children as well?
