:rotfl: at the hump(s)!
I've never liked Tesco, found their offers used to be mostly on the non-essentials and my bill was more than SB so soon switched back. And then Ald! came to town and I am hooked. There are some things that I still get in SB Basics range as they are cheaper than Ald! - you have to be hawk eye all the time.
YS is Yellow Sticker or reduced price. My little YS mission only got as far as SB's, but I got one of those hot cooked chickens reduced from £5.75 to £2.75. That's the next couple of days evening meals sorted, even though we've had Chicken daily since Sunday :rotfl: . Just unlucky, so it's been roast, casserole, curry, now it'll be chicken & bacon pasta then something I haven't yet thought of :rotfl:
Morries I'm not yet sure about - I do buy their own brand Marmite as it's an 80p saving per jar and their petrol mostly undercuts SBs by 1p a litre. We've a fairly new store here and sure my gasps can be heard in the aisles when I see how expensive some of their items are
Tricky with the DDs - how about they live on veg and forget the Quorn. Might save you a few bobBack on the DFW Wagon:
CC - £3,300 on 0% til 04/2020
CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019
Loan - £12,063.84 as at 4/1/180 -

YS - gottit!
Yes Morison's are total opportunists for a 'blind' sale
I agree on some Sainsbugs things and they're nice too.......basic cottage pie :rotfl: really nice - I bought it because I heard a little boy telling his mum how good it was - cheap tooNot in the habit of Sainsbugs or the legendary Mr. T
The latter would have to move their accounting date again if it depended on me - sorry if there are any Tesco shareholders reading
Well done on the chicken Ali - it was worth it for that alone and I like the sound of what you're going to make with it

Morning!
Talking about bulk buying, have you ever been to Co$tco? Its a bulk buyers dream! DH bought enough kitchen towel to fill his shed before the summer and low and behold we are on the last roll now. Its very good quality but I'm with you - how about bread & milk love :rotfl:
Have you ever watched Extreme Couponing on TLC? Nutcase Americans that spend 40+ hours a week collecting coupons from everywhere, even jumping in skips to then go & buy what seems 100 bottles of fruit water at the supermarket.....Some have a stockpile worth thousands! I watch it with my younger 2 sometimes and secretly harbour a dream of being able to do it.Coupons & vouchers here seem very few and far between.
Great news about your work - have a good day.0 -
Happy Hump Day Brogden (and over the hump of today as well!), the weekend is creeping towards us, yay!
I've not got a M&M card yet, we don't have a Morrie's close enough to us, only by my parents house. I love popping in there when we go over to visit my dogs (oh and my parents of course). Unfortunately my bf is a MrS addict and it's only 5mins walk down the road, it's going to take a concerted effort to wean him off that habit!0 -

Hi PP,
We are all over the 'hump' and sliding towards the camel's backside........I am hoping that will be kind to us :rotfl:!!!
Oh.........all these literary statements and poetry - you lose a grip on reality sometimes don't you? I wonder if William Shakespeare had this problem?
Don't worry yourself too much about the Mozza's M&M card PP - it really is the best of a bad job on the part of our superb supermarkets.....nobody is giving much away are they?
Hoping you, bf, parents and doggies are all well.

Thanks PS!
I did go to Co$tco once and they wouldn't let me in
I was recommended by another member of the wider family but hey ho.....Brogden was not acceptable.
I think this was something to do with being able to prove self-employment or your own business which I can't.......its a while ago and I think it may be the domain of entrepreneurs and not payroll people like me.........oh......I wish!! One day I'll be my own boss.........increasingly LESS likely as the years roll on..........OMG I'll be thirty next month :rotfl::):)

Or even another two lives! Depending on whether you're among the group who die younger because of bad diet or in the group that live longer but don't have enough pension to live on (according to the news). Me, I'm hedging my bets :rotfl:OSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10

I had to read that ten times before I got itI am over thirty but just a little bit over
OK......a proper bit over. I am hoping the 'die early for bad diet' doesn't apply but it could because I hate all salad :rotfl:
I could eat some chips though
