has had no viewings (as far as I can glean). Is it just the price or has any one got any other thoughts?

I think its a nice house. Decent sized rooms, nice garden, good views, tidy, clean.
The only thing I would say us that its a bit dated. Kitchen is dated, dark wood skirtings etc are not popular as are artexed ceilings. The lounge carpet us quite awful.
I would be tempted to take out the lounge carpet and replace it with a low cost neutral colour and get the agent to redo the lounge shots. Wouldn't cost mire than £500.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0 -
Lovely, spacious home and it should sell in no time. Here's what I would do and I am sure it would make a world of difference straight away.
Pull the table into the middle of the kitchen add a jug filled with greenery from the garden.
The two chests would be better either side of the bed and topped with a pair of lamps if possible.
The lounge furniture could be floated away from the wall to create a cozy conversation point, if I could see the other side I could advice a bit better. A tray with a green plant and a book on top of the ottoman would instantly update the feel in that room as well.
I would also like to see more pictures of the inside listed, out of 7 photos 4 are of the outdoors.

This ^^ The rooms that are included seem a little bland/boring, so I'd be wondering whether the other rooms are worse.
It's a long walk from the downstairs bedrooms to a toilet, and even further to a bath ...
Not sure about all the blue on the outside - fence, window frames, door and garage. Personally I'd prefer to see it all white, but that's just me!:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

Why are there only three pictures of the inside of the house?
Replace the lounge carpet.
Having to walk from the two downstairs bedrooms through the living room to get to a toilet will put some people off. It's a shame a toilet/shower room wasn't build at the same time as the extra bedrooms.0 -
It all looks a bit unloved as well as dated. Either empty or just too much decluttering. The ground floor annex needs at least a toilet, better still an en suite. I like it. I could make it look gorgeous.0

The layout. Bedrooms 3/4 are not suitable for a family home. In fact it's not really a 4 bed house at all.
For a similar price you could buy a property such as this.

It has lots of space, large rooms etc. I don't know what demand there is for properties in that price range in that area so it could either be a lack of buyers about or as others have said it could be the old fashioned decor and while there is nothing wrong with the kitchen, people do seem to like modern state of the art kitchens or at least to factor in the cost of this when buying a property, which would be costly on a property of that size.0

I agree the 'dated' coments and better value with the one featured above.
I thought the area was more of a lower price braket, but guess times have moved on.
And first thing I thought, was too much blue paint. Might look better in real life though.
Also is the garage a garage or a car port - might be a bit less secure, if its all open behnd the door. Not much you can do without spending, but that would put me off

what is a garage/carport?. Either it is one or the other and since it has 4 walls and a door I don't see how it can be a carport0

Thank you all for your time and comments, I will pass them on.
It is a garage, a definite building, not just a roof, with direct access to house and garden.0
