Lloyds Overdraft

I probably know the answer to this question but am wondering if there's any leniency on over draft charges.
I have two accounts with Lloyds one for my bills and another as my day to day, my bills account has a £50 overdraft which I haven't touched since reducing it from £850 overdrawn a year ago.. Until today. I had £2.53 in there when my phone bill went out @£63 putting me 10.47 over my limit, the grace period of 3:30 came and went because I finished work late and I'm 47p over my buffer. I don't mind paying the £6 overdraft usage fee as I used it for the day but am I likely to receive a £5 charge for going over the unplanned buffer? Really annoyed with myself as I paid off my Lloyds loan yesterday 3 months early and was on cloud 9 until I realised!

If it is a first offence then ask now before the charges actually get debited for them to be wiped.
No harm in asking.0 -

I will give it a go, thank you! Just out of interest do you think this would be better dealt with over the phone or in branch?Lloyds Personal Loan #3: £5000 (£4743)

Oh wow okay, perhaps just be glad I had the money to pay it and be done with it then! One more question though (sorry), is this likely to end up on my credit report in anyway?Lloyds Personal Loan #3: £5000 (£4743)

Give them a ring, (01733 347007 - 24/7) it's definitely worth asking, especially if this is a one off occasion.
Congrats on paying your loan off early :T
Good luck

A phone call.
Apologise. Ask politely for them to waive the charges.
DO NOT:
1) Be angry / aggressive / demanding.
2) Blame the banks for ruining the economy.
3) Mention Martin Lewis.
4) Mention the court case above.
5) Mention any previous court case.
6) Threaten them with the Daily Mail / FOS / County Court / any other court.0 -
Following on from last post - the bank has not done anything wrong here. Try the telephone approach first - if they refuse try at your local branch.0

Provided you've not had a refund in the last 12 months Lloyds will waive or refund £80 of charges. 100% guaranteed.
