I don't have the app yet - I'll have to download that. It didn't even occur to me they would do points offers on there!!

I've just got my Joules bag...for myself of course :)

Thanks for the heads up on the app - am downloading it now.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

we also have a couple of acm machines still with ink and paper in them, however when i used one last week, i had only one offer on the screen, whereas on my account online i have 4 or 5.
Its pants because i can't download the Boots advantage app on my phone, so I've no idea what offers I have unless I go online, upload it to my card, and make a note of what it was in the first place.

You see this is what p's me off about stores doing more things online and via apps. They don't think about the people who DON'T have the facilities to move onto those. My mum uses her Boots card regularly, doesn't own a mobile phone and doesn't have internet access. SO she's !!!!!!ed when these machines go. I myself up until a few months ago didn't have the right phone to download the Boots App either.

Think businesses need to think of the people who either can't afford the latest fads, or are too old or have no interest in learning new things.

I showed one of the staff at the tills the app on my phone and asked how I use a voucher. I had already loaded it to card and she said "you have t wait for the voucher to come through the post now". I was in a hurry so bought the baby food anyway but noticed the voucher had applied automatically. Looks like the staff are just as much in dark as we are...

All staff should of had their training but you always get one that has no idea!
  • A heads up to shoppers in Alnwick and Amble - I over heard the assistant saying that no local stock is held, you have to pay and order your Joules bag.

I agree it is annoying about the Advantage Cards machines going.
I've downloaded the Boots App & added a few offers to my card but I'll prob forget to use them.
As someone else has already mentioned it's bad for the older generation too!! Not everyone has a smartphone, I'm 39 and only just got one myself!!

Also; I don't think I'll be accruing as many points once they've gone as I'll only be able to add one per deal to my card whereas before I used to get my points balance up a lot by printing the same voucher 3 times and getting bonus points each time - my fave was always the Botanicals Skincare when it was half price instore and could use with an advantage card voucher for 200 extra points - this used to make my points balance quite healthy as I'd buy as many as the advantage card would let me print.

Hope they continue to send us offers in the point and don't do away with those too...

There's a really nice men's duffle with FatFace body sprays and body wash in at £28 but it's not part of the 342. Any idea why?

It's either not part of the Christmas gift range or it will be a OOTW at some stage. Although I doubt it will be OOTW if it's already £28.

It's only the Christmas gifts that are 3 for 2
