Moving back to hometown as an adult

I would like to thank everyone who has taken the time to respond here. It has given me a lot to think about and it will be a big decision.

One of my colleagues (who started about a week before me but works in a different building) has today resigned for similar reasons to why I'm not happy there (there are actually a few more reasons than I have posted here). So I'm glad it is not just me.
