I am looking for some advice as I have had a LOT of issues with the claims management 'specialist' (using that term loosly) As I have had to do most of the work!!
I have now, After nearly 3 month's, Recieved my payment but am extremely annoyed at having to settle their 30% fee when I have recorded so many issues with them along the way.
They have admitted their service failures and I have this in writing but they have offered me a 5% reduction which I feel is an insult.
They are now threatening debt collectors and County Court judgements but I am firmly sticking to my guns.
I have contacted government regulator who have said they can't get involved so instead out me through to Citizens Advice Bureau who were extremely helpful but I still feel as though I am on my own when dealing with these cowboys!! Any help GREATLY appreciated!!

Sorry, not what you want to hear, but no matter how much work you put in, you signed a binding contract with them.
They have made errors and have offered you compensation for this.
Yes, they can pass it to debt collectors, and take you to court, and trash your credit for 6 years.
You are probably going to get precisely nowhere with it.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

You have signed a legally binding contract with this firm. Despite nobody here being in favour of using them (mostly because they do little and charge a lot) there really is nothing you can do once you agreed the contract with them.I have contacted government regulator who have said they can't get involved
What exactly have the Citizens Advice Bureau told you to do?0 -

What issues exactly? Delays?
Why is it an insult? They don't have to offer you anything and, if you've received your money, they have fulfilled their side of the contract.
You will firmly "stick to your guns" all the way to the court I assume? That will be very expensive when you lose.

If the Ministry Of justice (the CMC regulator) will not get involved then clearly no regulatory rules have been broken and I cant see you having any success with trying to worm your way out of not paying them.

Hi
This is precisely why I am asking for advice!!
I'm not trying to 'worm' my way out of anything and there is obviously a lot more information that I could have given but I think people would probably have got bored and not responded.
The Citizens Advice have advised me NOT TO PAY as they feel that I have a strong enough reason to go down the 'damages claim' route.
I have a brilliant credit score and seriously don't want this to be affected but feel that paying their 30% fee is an outrage when I have literally spent hours upon hours chasing them to ensure that they are doing what they should be.
My Acceptance letter 'got lost' on 3 seperate occasions and I kind of lost my rag by the 3rd attempt when they didn't feel it neccessary to chase up to see if the lender had rec'd!!
If I HAVE to pay it, I will but I was hoping that someone on here would have some HELPFUL advice...0 -

Appreciate this - Thank you!
I have gone back with a % that I would be willing to pay for the work I feel they have done but they have rejected. Not sure if it's worth upping that slightly or just riding the wave??0 -

Well, you can certainly attempt to bargain with them for a further reduction in their fees. I doubt you will be successful, however, unless the "lot more information" you declined to provide has somehow deprived you of your some or all of your redress.
Making a counter claim for "damages" against them would seem to be expensive and very unlikely to succeed, especially as no regulatory rules have apparently been broken.0 -

Helpful? You mean only telling you what you want to hear?

Why on earth are you being so aggressive in your manner??
You seem like a very ANGRY person, May I suggest you see someone about that?!?!
The 'more information' mentioned entails emails and calls dating back to APRIL when this whole sorry mess began, I don't think anyone on here (that has a LIFE) wants to know the in's and out's.
The Bureau have told me not to pay anything as otherwise this will seem as though I am satified and that this matter is closed, which, is far from the truth. They have referred me to the Supply of Goods and services Act 1982 where a company has to provide reasonable care & skill. Neither of which, I feel they have done.
The previous/comment before yours may be wasn't what I'd wanted to hear but I have thanked them as paying the fee may well be the way to go.
I came on to this site to ask for advice and to see if anyone else has been where I am now and in that case, wondering what they had done. Wish I'd never started the process as I would not have had to deal with companies like The Claims Guys or you!!!0 -

Too late now.0 -
CAB did tell me not to pay but I do not want this to affect my excellent credit score.
I'm not sure what you are reading/understanding in my posts but I am happy to hear that I may have to pay.
People that frequent these sites for weeks/months & years may possibly have some useful advice.... I will look forward to hearing some from someone OTHER THAN YOU!!!0 -

May I suggest using the "Ignore function" if there are posters here who you do not wish to interact with? Personal attacks are not tolerated.0 -

Do you own this site?? Is your's the ONLY opinion that matters??
I'm not attacking you - I would just like to leave this thread to come back and see a comment from someone other than your good self ;-))
I like a bit of banter with the rest of them and personally have found this & you, quite amusing!0
