So how much have you actually invested to get a 5k return on a 4% rise?

Maths ain't my strong point but wouldn't you have had to have £100k in shares to see that sort of return?

MFW said in post #42 (24 October) he bought extra Tesco. Check the price on that date, check today's price. It's not that difficult, shorty.

But I'm sure MFW will be along soon to give you another drubbing. :rotfl:
Don't blame me, I voted Remain.

I invested £70362 in tesco on 24th October and cashed out yesterday morning at £78787.24, and was kicking myself because they closed 2% higher yesterday. I'm happy today because they have dropped a lot alongside Sainsburys.

Oh, I expected more from you purch, but here is a post to someone else who called me a liar. He didn't apologise either, as I expect you won't.

Well I was actually taking to generali, but you had to jump in...

Interestingly enough, I invested in Royal Mail when they were first offered to the public and made a tidy profit, but that's a different story.

Here is a screenshot of my dealing account. Next time I invest should I clear it with you first?

This is the first investment I made in tesco, I cashed out a couple of days after buying them, then bought back in once the shares had fallen back:

I sold 78k of shares yesterday and will buy back in once I believe the shares have bottomed out again. :)

Edit: looking at tesco shares right now, they have dropped from 195 to 188 (-7p change / -3.62% drop) and seem to be bottoming out. I will see how things look this afternoon and buy back in. Hopefully they will fall back a bit more and become even bigger bargains :)

Why do you feel the need to prove anything to anonymous posters on a internet forum?

Because I don't like being called a liar.

Why do you feel the need to pour out your emotional angst to anonymous posters on an internet forum about your decision to buy a BTL, even though you are strongly opposed to this business model?

But you are not being called a liar, an anonymous username is.

You didn't answer the question about why you post on here about your BTL angst.

It was just somewhere to have a moan.
May all be lies anyway, why should I care if anyone (who does not know me and I don't know them) believes me or not?
    Just wondering really.

Same here, it's a place to discuss various financial strategies and get a sounding from some of the more reasonable posters like generali. I've tweaked my financial plans a few times based on feedback from posters on here.

Unfortunately there are those who are here just to cause trouble and disrupt threads (in this case by calling me a liar/fantasist), so that every time you try and discuss anything, they troll up and ruin the thread. It's therefore quite handy to shut them up by posting a quick screenshot that takes 2 mins to produce and then they crawl back under their stones and we can carry on with serious discussions.

    Simples :)

It's amusing though how one can be wrong in someone's eyes, no matter what you do. If I ignore the trolls, then I'm 'proved' to be a liar. If I take 2 mins to prove them wrong then I'm, 'pandering' to anonymous forum users. :rotfl:
