re-lloyds club dd's

Options
Hi Guys, just upgraded 1 of my Vantage to Club, online ok.
Set up 1 DD to my Tesco I saver A/c.ok
tried to set up 2nd DD using my Wifes Tesco I saver, said, wait 5 working days, to check it out?
Is this normal, can I use Wifes Tesco A/c as 2nd DD ?.
If not, I don't have a spare one, unless TV licence can be paid 12 monthly, but, paid, full amount in May, annually ?
Don't want to use Credit Cards, even though I have several, that I don't use , but still open.
Any advice appreciated.

I think you're only supposed to be able to set up a DD from an account of your own.

I've got round this by having two Tesco savings accounts; one "Internet Saver" and one "Instant Access Saver".
Are you for real? - Glass Half Empty??

Them many A/cs, it's getting difficult now.
Rather not use a Charity, have 1, but, don't want to use them for small amount, not on.
    Any advice appreciated.

Thanks for reply, that's an idea, another A/c:-)
I will look at that A/c.
I thought that it would be same name A/cs, loads of A/cs, but, as i said on last amended post, I'm only 2nd A/c holder, on most.
    looking at it now;;
when setting it up, should I use lloyds club a/c as mainnominated a/c?
does this a/c allow several nominated a/cs or just the one, which means, I would have to nominate lloyds club a/c.
It, s only for this purpose anyway:beer:

Using the Tesco account you can have as many pulls from your other accounts as you wish.

So, if you have two Tesco accounts (they have slightly different names) you can use each of the Tesco accounts to pull £1 from your Club Lloyds account and that will satisfy the requirement from Lloyds. Set the Tesco accounts to pull a couple of days apart.

You cannot use your wifes account to pull money to your own account.

Thanks Steve, just set up second tesco a.c, IAS, as already recommended,by F&NC, and set up DD,for £5 so got 1 DD from each Tesco A/c for a £5..I made lloyds my main A/c, just in case, but, will add Hsbc to it, which is my main a/c for everything later.
Thanks to both of you for advice, very helpful,

You don't need to do £5, £1 will be adequate you know!

If you were to open say a Santander 123 account, then you can use your two Tesco's account to satisfy the direct debit requirements for that account too. As well as using it for your Lloyds account pull of course.

My apologies if this is slightly off the topic. Due to an in branch muck-up, where an adviser upgraded the wrong vantage account and then assured us that he could rectify it by manually transferring the direct debits from one account to another, we haven't had the interest paid for the last three months on one of our club account.

The branch fobbed us off by claiming that the fault was with the direct debit issuer, but all credit to the phone support who instantly diagnosed the issue paid the interest, the cost of the phone call and £20 compensation on top, although we've still had to cancel and re-instate several direct debits as the account numbers that we'd originally set them up with were now not the accounts they were being taken from.

Just a heads up that if for some reason they offer to transfer your direct debits for you politely decline and do it manually.

I'm not entirely sure if this is what the OP was asking, but in my case, I was able to set up:

    - My Lloyds Club Account (2x DD, one to my Tesco saver, one to my wife's Tesco saver)
    - My Wife's Lloyds Club Account (2x DD, one to her Tesco saver, one to mine)

So we each have just a single Club account and a single Tesco account, but all four required DDs have been set up. So it can be done.

Hi, That's what I was on about, using both my and my wifes TS, but, that's why they said they would check on wifes a/c,, and did not proceed for up to 5 working days.
They may yet sanction it yet, but doubt it.
    .How they did your's I don't know.That's why I've opened another A/c Tesco IAS.
    same names on a/cs???
    sorted now.
I thought you could set DD's up with any bank account?
    Obviously not.
