Morning all,
congratulations on the healthy birth of baby Isaac Snoozer. Glad the birth went well.
Went with 'Youngest' this morning to see about signing on. Hubby not so long ago told him not to bother as he would support him until he found regular paid employment but he suddenly thought about his insurance contributions and stuff. He didn't want him to be faced with a hefty bill. I didn't have to go with him but I wanted to get out of the house for a bit and its been ages since we've had a bit of quality time together so we hit the shops afterwards. He's hit a bit of a hard place in his career. He's got the qualifications he needs but he needs to drive. He cant drive without money so he is looking for anything now just to get him driving. He's got his car, just needs to pass his test and pay for the tax and insurance on it.
Back home now, Youngest has gone to have his hair cut and I'm going to have a bit of a rest before I tackle the vacuuming.
Lamb shanks for tea tonight. No changing my mind as ive got them out defrosting.
Onwards and forwards,
have a great day all. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Afternoon all,
Hope i find you well- Just popped on quickly from work- lunchtime and i have forgotten my book.
Have my elec metre being changed 12-6 today so mum is (thankfully) sitting there for 2hrs until i can escape.
Got lots to do when i get home. House work and i have realised money is going to be very tight for 3-4 weeks, even with a payday in there. So i am going to sit with bank statements and calender,my stock list and bills that need paying asap and come up with a budget plan. Luckily we are well stocked with food/cleaning/pet bits so we shouldn't suffer too much.
Right,back to work...
I will get back on later and read the thread.
Enjoy the rest of the day peeps x0 -
Afternoon all
Late today as for next five weeks I have autism parenting course in the mornings until midday so am currently running all behind. Just stopped to have some lunch as I was starving.
Tea tonight is chicken pie.
Absolutely naff all else going on, bathrooms to clean and fun stuff like that.
Hugs and spoons all round xxI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Left the house around seven this morning for hospital and got back around 11.30.
DH has lost even more weight!!! so I fixed him soup. then fish and veg and then a smoothie followed by a slice of cake.
Took info down to medical centre, went to supermarket for more fruit for smoothies and got dates and coconut milk and coconut cream to add to soups or smoothies as they are high in calories.
Bought a family pack of meat from butcher and then made a huge pot of celery, potato, cabbage and onion soup. Blended the soup and added some coconut milk to it and managed to get some down DH.
Need to tidy house a bit but too tired just now so will concentrate on making tonight's meal first and have a quiet sit down and get my breath back.
Hugs to all."This site is addictive!"

Afternoon everyone. Thank you for the well wishes. I'm feeling much better now. It was keyhole surgery, so no big wounds to contend with and I'm now virtually pain free. This morning I slept and watched tv. Luckily tesco man was tesco lady, no where near as embarrassing. She was very nice and put the groccerries on the worktop for me and even offered to put it away!
Got a phone call from dd1's school to say she was feeling faint. She was meant to get injections today so not sure if t was nerves. Went to collect her and came out and said her friend is coming, that she is sick too and her mum gave her permission to come to my house. It's just the receptionist forgot to get MY permission. So I thought I'll bring her to my house and send her on the bus at 4. But when she got in the car she looked so pale, that I drove her home. It was a 20 mile round trip, but I thought she'd rather be tucked up at home with her own mummy. She then burst into tears when she got home, so she must be really ill poor thing.
So after all that I had another sleep lol. Collected dd2 and got chips on the way home. I have very little appetite today and only for something bland.
The rain has started here. First time in over 2 weeks apart from a very heavy shower on Friday evening. Managed to get the washing in just in time.
The dogs have enjoyed being in the house today, but now I'm going to have to bribe one of dd's to hoover.
No plans for this evening, just more rest and I might change my jammies:o
Congratulations snoozer glad mum and baby are doing well
busiscoming kids can be cruel, but they rarely mean it. I'm sure he regretted saying what he did as soon as it came out of his mouth.

Good evening all,
Well it has been a lovely day, washing dried andIi have just ironed what needed ironing:)
Purchased several birthday cards from Card F***ory, they are so much cheaper there, and very nice cards as well. These should last me a little while.
CAZ you poor thing you should have been resting. Try to have an early night and if you don't feel like eating make sure you have some fluids so you don't become dehydrated.
Sleep tight everyone
hugs

Elona, bizarre as it may sound, check the calories in low-fat yogurt, as it can be higher than normal. Also can your DH get Fortisip on prescription? They are fortified high-cal drinks, and he may be able to get them if he is still losing weight, ask your GP about them http://www.fortisipdrink.co.uk/2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇
